The Second Encounter
ALARIC
There she was. Miracle’s eyes held guilt. She hurt Moon. That was unintentional. She needed to understand that. I hate that guilt in her eyes. Miracle’s touch burnt Moon’s fur. But the rejection Viviana awarded me, was even more painful.
Moon moved closer to Miracle. She stepped back. He again moved closer and she again stepped back. I tried to warn Moon. Miracle was scared. She didn’t want to be. But she was. Moon didn’t heed. Why the hell he never heeds when need to be!
“Moon, stop getting close to Miracle. You are scaring her.” I yelled in his mind. Moon groaned. This was a signal for me to shut my mouth. I didn’t oblige and butted in. Moon cornered me. Stubborn wolf. I wondered if Miracle was the same as Viviana.
Moon snuggled close to Miracle and sniffled her scent. He took two rounds around her huge brown, sunny figure. He marked his territory. No other wolf would approach her. Ever.
