Chapter 24: Combat Tournament, Day 1

No sooner had Ryan and Mendoza walked away did a figure emerge from the darkness. He stood at a distance as he stared at the unconscious Freya.

“I'm afraid there was an added ingredient to the bourbon.” Another man said, appearing beside him.

The man walked up to Freya and bent over to take the empty bourbon bottle. He took it close to his nose and smelt it before he nodded in conviction.

“Suro. They added sure to it.”

Since it usually took more than ten bottles of bourbon to get a werewolf in his or her prime drunk, suro was an added ingredient made by werewolves to get them drunk faster.

They often used it when they were sad and needed to forget about their problem for the time being. It did work, but one of its adverse side effects was that it stayed long in the body. Which usually leads to a really long and deep slumber by the one who took it.
