Chapter Seven

Savage

Finally, unable to contain my curiosity any longer, I set my mug down on the nightstand and turn to Lily, studying her expression carefully. “Lily, is everything alright? You seem…… different somehow,” I venture tentatively, not wanting to overstep but unable to ignore the subtle shift in her demeanor.

Lily's gaze flickers up to meet mine, a mixture of emotions swirling in the depths of her eyes. She takes a deep breath, as if steeling herself for what she's about to say. “Savage, there's something I need to tell you,” she begins, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness.

My heart clenches at the serious tone in her voice, a sense of foreboding settling over me. “What is it, Lily? You can tell me anything,” I urge softly, reaching out to squeeze her hand in a gesture of support.

Taking another steadying breath, Lily plunges into her revelation. “It's about your parents, Savage. There's something you need to know about your parents and the circumstances of their passing,” Lily say
