Chapter Six

Savage

“Savage, can you hear me, sweetheart?” I hear someone say beside me, causing me to cry out in pain as I turn my head.

“Uncle Apollo?” I whimper out as tears pour down my face.

“Yes, baby. It’s me.” He whispers as he gently wipes the tears from my face.

“Mom… Dad…. OMG my pack… They are all dead!” I cry out as I cough while screaming from the jarring pain.

“I know, baby girl. I am so sorry! Nurse!” I yell, my tears falling as well from the loss.

“Yes, Alpha… OMG, she is awake. Doctor, come quickly.” I hear the nurse yell as she rushes into my room.

“Good morning, Savage, it's so good to see you awake. Can you tell me how you are feeling?” Dr. Becca asks.

“I feel like death!” I whimper while closing my eyes once more.

“We will continue to provide you with pain medication until your pain is completely manageable. However, considering that your body is healing at a normal human pace, it may take a little longer than expected.” Dr. Becca reassures me as she carefully hangs a
