The heavy metal door slammed behind Amelia as the guard pushed her inside. Her orange jumpsuit was wrinkled, her wrists red and sore from the handcuffs. She looked around the office and froze.

Alejandro Favino sat calmly across from Warden Hayes, wearing a sleek black suit and a smug smile. A gold ring gleamed on his finger. He looked completely at home, like he ran the place.

“Sit down,” Warden Hayes said firmly.
