LOGINCHAPTER TWO
Rosalie’S POV
The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was the sunlight coming through the curtains, spreading softly across the room.
For a few seconds, I remained still, staring at the ceiling as I tried to remember what had happened the night before.
Then the memories slowly returned.
Even though Harrisonhad dismissed me first, but he had finally came back to me and we had spent the night togethex I had finally done it.
A smile slowly appeared on my lips.
I placed a hand over my stomach, even though I knew it was far too early to know anything.
“I will become a mother,” I whispered, unable to hide the happiness in my voice.
For the first time in years, I allowed myself to imagine Harrisonholding our baby.
Maybe when he found out I was pregnant, he would change his mind about the divorce.
My smile widened as I turned my head toward the other side of the bed.
Then I froze, the other side was empty.
I frowned as I slowly sat up.
I could not remember when Harrisonhad left the room, but perhaps he had gone downstairs early in the morning.
I looked around the room, and that was when something caught my attention.
A wristwatch was lying on the bedside table.
I reached for it and stared at it for a moment.
It was expensive, elegant, and completely different from the kind of watches Harrisonusually wore.
Harrisonhad never liked watches like this, he preferred simple designs and had even told me several times that he found this type of watch too heavy and uncomfortable.
So why was it here?
I turned it over in my hand, studying it carefully.
A strange feeling settled in my chest.
I looked at the watch again.
Maybe Harrisonhad started using a different watch and simply had not told me, that was possible.
Still, something about it bothered me.
I slipped it into the pocket of my dress.
I would simply ask him, perhaps he had changed his taste without telling me.
I pushed the thought away and got out of bed.
As I walked toward the door, my happiness returned.
Whatever had happened between Harrisonand me last night, I believed it had finally given me a chance to become a mother.
That was all that mattered.
I opened the bedroom door and walked downstairs.
I could hear voices coming from the living room.
I smiled faintly as I approached, but the smile disappeared the moment I saw who was sitting there.
Harrisonwas on the sofa Vivianne was beside him.
She was leaning comfortably against him while they spoke, and Harrisonlooked completely relaxed.
I stopped at the entrance, something about the scene made me uncomfortable.
If Harrisonhad really come to my room last night, why was he acting as though nothing had happened?
And if he had stayed with me, why was he already sitting here with Vivianne as though he had spent the entire night with her?
I looked at Vivianne, she seemed perfectly comfortable, just as she always was whenever she came into this house.
Harrisonrarely had time for anyone when she was around.
I tightened my fingers around the watch hidden inside my pocket.
Perhaps I was overthinking it, perhaps there was a simple explanation.
I stepped into the room. Harrisonlooked up.
His expression immediately became cold.
I stopped in front of him. “Did you come to my room last night?”
For a moment, neither Harrisonnor Vivianne spoke.
Then Harrisongave me a cold look. “I never came to your room.”
My heart skipped. “You didn’t?”
“No.” He picked up the papers lying on the table and pushed them toward me.
“You should be thinking about signing those instead of asking me foolish questions.”
I stared at him. “But I remember you coming to my room.”
“You were probably dreaming.” Vivianne suddenly laughed.
The sound made my stomach twist.
“You dream too much, Rosalie.”
I turned toward her.
She smiled at me as though she found the whole situation amusing.
“Maybe the divorce has finally made you lose your mind.”
I ignored her and looked back at Victor. “But…”
“There is nothing to discuss.” His voice was firm. “I told you last night that our marriage is over. Sign the papers and leave.”
I stood there, unable to understand what was happeningc I knew what I remembered.
I remembered someone being in my roomc I remembered his arms around me, I remembered his voice but if Harrisonhad not been there, then who had?
Before I could ask anything else, a strange sound came from outside.
The front doors opened. Harrisonsuddenly stopped talking.
I noticed the change in him immediately.
His entire body became tense, and the color seemed to disappear from his face.
Vivianne noticed it too. “What is wrong?”
Harrisondid not answer.
Outside, I could hear hurried footsteps.
The guards were moving.
Their voices were low, but there was something unusual about the way they were speaking, as though something unexpected had just happened.
I turned toward the entrance. “What is happening?”
No one answered me, then the doors opened completely.
A man walked into the house.
I had never seen anyone enter a room with such confidence.
He was tall, broad-shouldered, and dressed in an expensive black suit that fit his powerful frame perfectly. His dark hair was neatly styled, and his face was sharp and handsome in a way that immediately drew attention but it was his eyes that made me forget everything else.
They were calm, cold, fearless, he walked into the room without looking as though he needed permission from anyone.
Harrisonsuddenly stood.
His chair moved backward with a loud scrape against the floor. “Sebestian…”
The name left his mouth almost like a warning.
I looked at Victor, I had never seen him look like that before, not even when he had been angry, nor even when he had told me our marriage was over.
He looked afraid. I slowly turned my eyes back to the man.
Sebestian.
The name sounded familiar.
I had heard it before, not once, but many times.
My mind began searching through old memories until everything suddenly came together.
Sebestian.
The rightful heir of the company. Victor’s brother, Harrisonis the adopted one while Sebestian is the real son.
The man who had once been expected to take over everything.
The man who had been accused of illegal fraud after millions disappeared from the company, with evidence supposedly proving that he had been involved.
The man who had been sentenced to prison seven years ago, seven years.
The same seven years I had been married to Victor, the same seven years Harrisonhad been running the company.
The same seven years everyone had believed Sebestian was behind prison walls.
But he was standing right in front of me, free and very much alive.
I looked at Harrisonagain.
His face had gone pale.
“What is he doing here?” Vivianne asked quietly.
Harrisondid not answer her. Sebestian slowly turned his head.
His eyes moved across the room before stopping on me, he said nothing.
He simply looked at me, something about that look made my heart begin beating faster.
It was not the way a stranger looked at someone.
There was something familiar in his eyes.
Something that made a strange chill move through me.
I stared at him, trying to understand why his face felt familiar when I was certain I had never met him before.
Then I remembered the night before.
The hallway, the blurred vision, the man standing in front of me, his smooth skin beneath my fingers, his voice telling me that I did not know what I was asking for.
His arms around me.
I suddenly felt my fingers tighten around the wristwatch hidden inside my pocket.
My eyes moved slowly over Sebestian.
His face, his hands, his eyes.
And then something inside me stopped.
The memory became clearer.
Not completely, but enough.
My heart began pounding so hard that I was afraid everyone in the room could hear it.
I looked at Sebestian again.
No, It was impossible.
It could not be him but then why did everything suddenly feel as though it was falling into place?
Why was Harrisonso terrified to see him?
Why did Sebestian look at me like that? And why was I holding a watch that Harrisonhad never owned?
My lips parted as the horrifying thought finally entered my mind.
Don’t tell me… I swallowed hard.
Don’t tell me the man I was with last night was Sebestian.
Chapter FiveRosalie’s POVI stood outside the hospital for several minutes after leaving the doctor’s office, unable to move. The pregnancy report was still in my hand, folded carefully inside the envelope the nurse had given me.I looked down at it again, even though I already knew what it said.Pregnant, theword should have filled me with happiness. For seven years, I had dreamed of seeing that word written beside my name. I had prayed for it, cried for it, gone through treatments for it, and endured humiliation because of it.Now that it had finally happened, I could not even smile.Because I knew the truth. The child was not Harrison’s, I had not been with Harrison for almost a year, the only man I had been with was Sebastian. My fingers tightened around the envelope as I walked toward the car.I had no idea what I was going to do.I could not tell Harrison yet, not until I found out what I am going to do with it, even though I had used years searching for this and Something was
Chapter Four TWO MONTHS LATERRosalie’S POVFor the past few days, I had not felt like myself. At first, I tried to ignore it because I had been under too much stress lately, and after everything that had happened with Victor, I thought my body was simply reacting to the pain and exhaustion I had been carrying around for months. But that morning, the strange feeling became impossible to ignore.I had barely stepped out of my room when a sudden wave of nausea hit me so hard that I stopped in the middle of the hallway, covering my mouth as my stomach twisted painfully.I hurried into the bathroom and barely made it to the sink before I started vomiting. My body shook as I held onto the edge of the sink, trying to catch my breath when it finally stopped, but the sickness left me weak and dizzy.I reached for the glass of water beside the sink, only to realize that someone was already standing beside me with a bowl filled with clean water.“Thank you…”I took it without looking at the pe
CHAPTER THREERosalie’S POVI looked at Victor, hoping his reaction would somehow prove that I was wrong, but the look on his face only made the fear inside me worse. He was staring at Sebestian as though he had just seen a dead man walk through the door.Harrisonslowly stepped forward. “Who let you out, Sebestian?”Sebestian’s eyes moved to him. A faint, cold smile appeared on his lips. “So, my dear brother doesn’t want me out.”Victor’s jaw tightened. “Answer me.”“Why?” Sebestian tilted his head slightly. “Fraud, illegal transactions, and everything else you accused me of were enough to get me fourteen years in prison, weren’t they?”Victor’s face hardened. “You were convicted.”“And yet I’m standing here.” His voice remained calm, but something about it made the room feel colder. Sebestian took another step forward. “Go and ask the court why I was released.”Victor’s hands tightened at his sides. “You think being released changes anything?”“No.” Sebestian looked around the living

Chapter OneRosalie’s POV It had been seven years, seven long years since I got married without having a child, but finally, I believed everything would end today because after years of searching and trying every treatment the doctors recommended, the doctor had finally managed to get the fertility drug I had been waiting for.I still couldn’t believe I had it.I held the small package in my hand and smiled as I looked at it, feeling a kind of happiness I had almost forgotten how to feel. After today, maybe people would finally stop calling me barren. The sound of a car stopping outside suddenly made my heart jump.Victor, my husband was home.I quickly took the drug exactly as the doctor had instructed and swallowed it with a glass of water, knowing it would take some time before it started working. Then I hurried back to the dining room and adjusted everything one more time. The candles were burning around the table, the cake was sitting proudly in the middle, and his favorite food
