Axel’s Point of View

The Moon goddess' otherworldly beauty and aura pierced through me as if I were nothing more substantial than a sieved piece of paper. Light clothed her, flowing around her in the semblance of a dress, declaring to all that she was something other, more so than the Myth Kind.

For more than three centuries, she'd ignored the summons put to her, with the exception of Lancelette’s family, and even then she'd never shown up. Yet she had shown up for three homeless beings.

I turned to see what my parents thought of it, but aside from Lancelette, I was alone in the field of white that had become our world.

Lancelette’s eyes held such awe and reverence that I felt like I was intruding just because I witnessed it. I felt like there was something wrong with me since I failed to feel anything close. Then again Lencelette had grown up with the goddess' favour, not her unrelenting hatred that had lasted more than a millennium.

I turned back to meet the goddess' eyes. Cold r

Axel’s Point of ViewThirty minutes later the alpha bloodlines present sat in grim silence as the reality of our situation nestled in our hearts. It was one thing to know the moon goddess detested us and another to experience it. Her feelings towards my mother and cousin, however, bordered on psychosis. I could see their trauma over their meetings written on their faces, in the shock that stuttered their recounting. Why would Goddess hate my mother? With Aldrich it was obvious he'd tried to kill Kayah and Sheila. Whereas my mother had not even met them."Why does she hate you, mum?" I was puzzled. When she turned to look at me, I wished I had kept my mouth shut. The pain riding the depths of her eyes pierced my heart so that I felt ashamed of my curiosity. When she smiled at me, it was even worse. A vulnerable, lost look replaced the composure that was her signature. "I don't know. She has always hated me."An awkward silence reigned for a bit. I wanted to look around for someone

Kayah’s Point of View“He’s our mate for Goddess Sake!” I scream at my wolf. I have been raging an internal battle between me and my seemingly getting stronger wolf.“He is! But he’s not meant for us. We already belonged to someone else! Return at once! You don’t have any idea what that Goddess is plotting over the werewolf race. You must listen to me! Kayah, you must listen to me! Don’t answer her-”“Shut up. I’ll talk to the Moon Goddess!”I shut my wolf deeper in my thoughts. How can she be so naive? We literally found our mate and we could have stopped pretending with someone else’s identity. Stupid wolf. The moon goddess had come to our call, and she looked at us like they were an answer to all her prayers. It made no sense that she'd look at us like that. Like they were beloved. Why would she love us?"My beloved children." She answered my thoughts.I darted a quick glance at Lisa who shrugged. He tried to appear casual, like the moon goddess claiming us was a run-of-the-mill

Kayah’s Point of viewI did not want to be homeless. I already ran away from Seven and I couldn’t return to my old pack. I had little trust for packs. To have to stay in one, even as the luna heir, was a hard pill to swallow. But I couldn't risk the lives of my two friends which I already considered family, that was going to take a bit of adjustment."What will happen to this pack if we leave?" I wasn't sure I wanted to stay. Axel scared me in ways she had yet to explore, for reasons I didn't want to explore. For all its radiant beauty, the moon goddess' smile leached all the warmth I had started to feel in my soul but I noticed there was unimaginable malice in the expression and vindictiveness devoid in her face. Her eyes stared dreamily into space as I noticed her daydreamed of some diabolic revenge. As if coming out of a trance, the Goddess blinked and looked at me, her smile became serene and loving, which I found more chilling than her vindictiveness. "Anyone you don't accept

Kayah’s Point of ViewAxel leaned forward, resting his forehead on mine, all the while holding my tearful gaze with his. The sparks ignited from where we touched, weakening every cell of mh body with the pleasure of it. Waiting was going to be hell, but her mate was worth it.Axel cupped my cheek, stroking his thumb against it in a soothing motion. My breath caught as I too felt those sparks that pronounced what we were to each other. "Making love between mates is the most amazing experience," he stated. "But I know you're not ready to even consider that so we'll forget about it for now.""And if I never get to the point of being ready?" I whispered. He trailed his fingers lightly down my arm. I shivered, my breath catching audibly before I let it out on a small squeal. "You feel that? That's the attraction of mates, some people say it's our souls sparking off each other as they try to form the mate bond. As long as that bond isn’t there, the drive to be together will get stronger."

Seven’s Point of ViewI was sitting, reading all the documents necessary for the entire kingdom. My men were conscious around me. I was never in a good mood since I learned everything about the mate/Sabrina that I married and crowned as the Queen. The Healer pack has murdered and burned even the bodies of the Alpha family and the pack members. The only thing left was the severed head of the real Sabrina. And according to the last surviving member of the said pack, the one pretending to be Sabrina was sent to kill me. I was beyond rage and when I searched for the fake Sabrina, she was already gone. I searched long and wide, even to visit her supposed to be my mate but she was not there. I couldn’t feel any trace of her, that's why I didn’t insist on looking for her. She’s a runaway omega, an enocha, a prize for Ferals. That’s why there was an increased amount of ferals in my domain. No, I don’t believe the fake Sabrina wanted to kill me because I found a liquid hidden under her pillo

Unknown’s Point of View“Kill them and bring the useless head to her family. You got the wrong one.”“How can you be sure she’s not the one?” I asked him. This stupid messenger bosses me around like he’s special or something. But nevertheless, I received what I wished for and now I need to follow him and her. “Keep one pack member and tell them exactly what I’m going to tell you. Make sure that the message will be delivered to the King otherwise my Goddess will take everything from you.” “Okay! You don’t have to tell me,” I replied. “And also she wanted a clean job.” “Understood.”Along with the group of ferals, we attacked the Healer pack and followed what the messenger had me.After we burned to the ground what was left to the Healer pack, I left Sabrina’s head. It was a pleasure raping her but I wouldn’t be in the Goddess dark side. Sabrina was someone she was rumored about, first and feared no one. She was so brave that she even cursed the Goddess which resulted in her swift d

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 64: The wolf who can never shift

Lisa’s Point of viewThere was something eternal about those quiet mornings. As if the passing of time could fit in that moment. As if the soft light of the sun slowly rising could stay like that, painting the world in sunrise colors forever.“Firstly, it should be possible for any wolf to find their mate before they come of age. Secondly, dark wolves also known as rogues never get mated. They choose who they want to mate. Some say it's because they were the children of Fenrir and not the moon goddess, the mortal enemies. Moon Goddess was a benevolent while Fenrir was a nonchalant who loved his children and trusted them to stand on their own feet. The Goddess created Fate while Fenrir established strength. Some say Rogues are so dark they are heartless and therefore unable to love. The dark ones, touched by the night itself, are always mateless and alone just like their father,” I said as Kayah and I shared our first breakfast with me shifted into my human form. “You know everything,

Dawn was breaking over the horizon, yet the moon stubbornly kept its place even if the sun was close to appear. There are two sides of the moon, the white full moon which we use to praise the Goddess and the red full moon which we know as the rogues’ moon. And under the moon, we Pack Wolves claim our mates…Reluctant to move, I stared at the luminous orb gracing the cloudless sky. Its hollowed face was as plain and mysterious as ever. I wondered how the moon could be a lump of space rock while still being the embodiment of a goddess and the Fenrir. Were they always looking down at us?Its simple beauty was alluring to the were. So as to rule us, even against our will, we were forever drawn to her and couldn't help but love the moon. It was the same beauty I sensed in my mate, especially since the moon's visit. Would everyone be drawn to her in the same way?Maybe the Rogue King, but he’s out of the picture now. I made a brave and bold announcement that once my mate left him, she’s

Axel made sure I couldn’t say no. He made sure that he’s in control, especially when he inflicted this wound on me, weakening my wolf so that I couldn’t protest. I couldn’t feel my hands anymore.Everything burned. Then it went cold. Then back to burning. The silver and wolfsbane were messing with my body so bad I didn’t even know if I was still breathing right. My wolf was fading fast. I could barely feel her.Suddenly, the door slammed open.I didn’t have to guess who it was. The energy in the room changed. It got heavy, tense. Angry. And very Axel.He stormed in like he owned the place. The nurses tried to stop him, but he growled, and they backed off. He came straight to me, like nothing else mattered.“Oh, hell, Kayah…” His voice cracked when he saw me. I hated that sound. Like I was already gone.He grabbed my face, his hands warm and rough. I wanted to push him away, but I couldn’t even lift a finger.“You’re dying,” he said.Yeah. I knew.“I can stop it,” he said, eyes glowin

The hospital room was too quiet. The only sound was the soft beeping of the machine beside me and the slow ticking of the clock on the wall. I couldn’t move much. My chest was still aching badly. Every breath felt like it might tear me open again.I lay still, watching the ceiling, trying not to think. Then I heard the door open.My hands tightened under the blanket as I smelled who it was. Axel. He walked in, pushing a cart of food. His footsteps were calm, too calm for my liking. I didn’t dare look at him right away. I stared at the wall instead. My heart was beating faster. I didn’t know if he was angry. I didn’t know if he was going to yell. Or worse.“You’re awake,” he said, his voice quiet but firm.I nodded a little. My throat felt dry.He moved the cart closer and uncovered the plates. Warm steam rose into the air. It smelled like soup and bread. I haven't eaten since... I couldn’t remember. But the sight of food didn’t comfort me.“You need to eat,” he said. “Your wound won’

The next few scenes were me being punched, kicked and slapped to almost make me pass out. My throat was already hurting due to the constant scream of vegging and leaving me alone. My chest started to bleed again and it stained the oversized white shirt Axel had given me. My screams were now replaced with loud sobs that made my lungs ache. I looked up in fear as the unknown man advanced towards me. He took a deep breath through his nose, and a wide smile spread across his face. Slowly, he walked towards me with deliberate and smooth steps. With each step he took, the malicious grin on his face got wider. I had scooted myself into a corner to try and escape his gaze and ferocity, and as he came to stand in front of me I tried pleading once more. "Please. I am begging you. Just leave me alone. You don't have to do this!" My words came out as sobs. "Shut up! You’re just a slave! You do not talk to me like that!" With another deep breath through his nose, he crouched down next to me a

I woke up to sunlight shining in my face, and the sound of a girl screaming. The sound was excruciatingly loud and sent chills up my spine. Above the screaming, I could hear Axel’s voice shouting. I couldn't make out the words, but he sounded furious and excited. The screaming continued for about another minute, until it slowly died down. The entire time this was happening, I sat cowering in the corner of my room, fearing I would be next to be screaming like that. But I made my decisions…to play safe..After what seemed like an eternity, I heard a door slam and footsteps coming my way. I cringed back in fear and huddled against the wall. The freshly stitched wounds on my chest reminded me of Axel’s brutality, and I didn't want to see what he was like when he was mad. My door was pushed open to reveal-of course- an infuriated Axel. He looked at my small frame huddled in the corner farthest from him, and smiled. I felt no comfort from his expression, only more fear. He stepped forward

I kept my head down and watched his feet as he approached me. Before I knew it, he was right next to me, lifting my chin upwards to look at his face. I tried to keep my eyes averted from his gaze and stop the tears that threatened to come again. "Look at me." His hot breath growled into my face.I slowly brought my eyes up to meet his. They were a deep, voidless black. This was the first good look I had gotten at his eyes and I hoped it would be my last. His black hair hung to the side with a few pieces escaping to fall on his forehead. A square jaw held light pink lips that always seemed to be smirking at me. His face was completely devoid of emotion, even though he was smirking. His eyes held nothing but emptiness and he looked at me as weak. It was terrifying being this close to him, and I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable. His hand grew tighter on my chin as I struggled desperately to free my head from his grip. I was beyond scared and wanted to be as far away from him as I

The envelope was brown. It doesn’t have a receiver or sender name.I should have felt it then, the warning, the poison in the air.Curious, I opened it anyway. The photograph slid out with a whisper.Seven’s face hit me first and beside him was a familiar face, too familiar, his arm wrapped around her. Hailey. The Moon Goddess. Her lips curved in a smirk so triumphant it made me sick. And between them was a baby. My baby.I staggered back a step, as if the floor itself had betrayed me. The little boy nestled in Hailey’s arms was unmistakable, the soft curl of his hair, the tiny birthmark on his cheek, a mark I knew because I had kissed it a thousand times. His smile, the one he used to give me, now aimed at her. At them. The baby I thought was kidnapped. My knees buckled. The pain wasn’t sharp. It was deep, an endless splitting inside my chest, like I was being hollowed out from the inside. Seven didn’t even look guilty. He looked proud. As if he belonged there, next to her, instead o

I awoke in my stall on the bed. Light was streaming through the small window high above me. The ferals outside were noisy and I could hear that they were tearing something apart. The sound was like squelching, like flesh tearing from bones or I don’t even want to know it. But because I was freaking curious, I stood up, despite the protest of my chest and looked at the small hole in my room. And there it was. A body was torn apart, the ferals were fighting, playing tag, trying to have a large portion.“So, who was it again?” I heard someone speak up. “The other man that the king found three weeks ago,” a man said. “Oh, the one who kept on resisting?”“Yes. Unfortunately, the king’s patience ran out and he fed him to his dog.”“Well, all of those who resist him always end up being fed to these beasts,” the other man replied, which scared me. Axel must have moved me from the floor to my bed and I was glad I was asleep for that. The pain of walking or being carried would have been uni

My mouth instantly began to water. He saw me staring at his hands and laughed aloud this time. "Oh, is my little mate? Hungry?" All I could do was nod intently. It had been days since I had anything to eat or drink, and the result of that was starting to weigh upon me."Well, why don't you come over to me and get it then?" Axel looked at me with danger in his eyes. He knew I refused, he’ll just going to do what he wanted and if I talk back, Fenrir will have mercy on me. Once I realized he was serious and the only way for me to get the piping hot bowl of newly cooked meat was to walk over to him, I almost screamed in frustration. He put me through it all, he tortured me and now I'm just supposed to walk it off?! Unbelievable. Despite what I thought though, he wasn't going to give me any food until I came over to him. I began to muster up all my strength and courage even if the thing on my chest hurts like hell. It didn’t dry up or at least close. In fact it went deeper in my flesh,

I shouldn’t tell you this but well, maybe I thought you deserve to know.”When we reached my room, he opened the door and I entered inside before.him slamming the door and locking it. Inside, I saw that the haystack was gone and replaced by a bed. I laid there for at least an hour. My eyes grew heavy and exhaustion threatened to overtake me, but I refused to fall asleep. I needed to get out of this torture house and back to my pack. How that would happen- I had no idea. I hoped beyond hope that Axel wouldn't be the one to come back and get me. If I saw him again I might pass out, just out of pure terror. He scared me beyond what I could handle right now, and I couldn't handle very much. With every second that went by I
