When he left the study room with Gamma Phil walking behind him, Draven went straight to his chambers. Everything he needed had already been arranged—clothes, documents, seals, and the carefully forged identity he would use within the academy walls. He was pleased.

But more than that, the thought of being surrounded by young Alpha wolves, who are proud, arrogant, untested—and tearing apart whatever dark secrets Ashbourne Academy was hiding stirred something dangerous in him. Excitement flickered in his eyes.

Less than thirty minutes later, he was already at the border of BloodFall Pack.

Gamma Phil, Beta Devon, and a few trusted officers stood with him, their expressions tense as they reluctantly bade him farewell. Warnings were repeated and pleas were ignored.

Draven insisted on going without a carriage despite their objections.

“I don’t intend to announce myself,” he said calmly.

Ten minutes later, he stood before the massive iron gates of Ashbourne Academy, winter snow blanketing the ground beneath his feet. The cold didn’t bother him in the slightest.

The guards at the first gate assessed him openly, their gazes lingering longer than necessary on his striking features. After a brief inspection of his identity, he was allowed through.

The second gate was far larger—thicker, darker, reinforced with runes. The guards stationed there were stern-looking, hardened men with unfriendly eyes.

One of them scoffed loudly as Draven approached.

“Pretty face,” the guard muttered mockingly. “You sure you’re not lost, boy?”

Draven stopped..He lifted his gaze slowly.

Just a look. The guard’s words died in his throat. His face drained of color as his wolf recoiled violently inside him, shrinking back in terror. He swallowed hard, unable to speak another word.

At that moment, a sudden commotion erupted.

The doors of the main hall burst open, and groups of students scrambled out in panic. Some fell over one another in their desperation to escape. Others stumbled forward, faces pale, eyes wide with terror, as though they had just come face-to-face with a furious beast.

Draven’s brows furrowed slightly.

Curious, he intercepted one of the fleeing students who had fallen hard onto the snowy ground.

“Hey... What’s wrong?” Draven asked calmly.

The student trembled violently, pointing back toward the hall with shaking fingers.

“T-there are monsters in there,” he stammered. “Furious students… with... with... deadly auras… it’s a death trap. Don’t go in there if you want to live!”

With that, the student scrambled away through the first gate without looking back.

Draven smirked. His curiosity was fully aroused.

One of the guards noticed that smile and froze.

That’s the smile of a dangerous wolf, he thought uneasily..His eyes dropped to the identity card in his hand.

Draven Caesar?. He must be from one of the prominent bloodlines, the guard concluded nervously.

Draven retrieved his card as he was instructed to proceed to the hall, where a staff member would escort him to his dormitory. He thanked them politely and walked away, while the guards immediately launched into hushed discussions about him.

The closer Draven got to the hall, the stronger the clashing auras became.

He grinned. “This is getting far more interesting than I assumed,” he murmured as he stepped inside.

The moment he crossed the threshold, the oppressive aura inside the hall died instantly.

Then— A far stronger, offensive aura erupted outward. The noise vanished.

Conversations died mid-sentence. Every head turned toward him. Faces went pale. Some students appeared shocked, others curious but trying desperately to hide it.

Instinctively, they backed away.

Draven frowned. “Is this it?” he thought coldly. “Just some losers? Then why were those students running.?

He didn’t notice someone approaching from the opposite direction... and they collided.

Draven straightened—and found himself staring into a pair of sharp green eyes blazing with irritation.

The surrounding students gathered closer, though none dared speak. Everyone knew who this was.

Darkson Lawlessness. Just as his name, he was a notorious bully and as well as the most powerful Alpha student in the academy.

Darkson frowned deeply as he met Draven’s storm-grey gaze—and then his frown deepened further.

This was the first student who had ever looked him directly in the eyes without flinching.

And he hated it. “You’d better watch where you’re going, newbie, i can't guarantee leaving your pretty face flawless next time ” Darkson warned, some students laughed.

Draven answered him with nothing but a slow, devilish grin.

Darkson’s face drained of color.

His wolf whimpered, nearly fleeing outright. Sweat broke across his forehead as fear clawed at his chest.

Who the hell is this? he thought in panic.

Draven stepped aside to leave.

But the laughter turned into murmurs from the watching students... it made Darkson boils with rage.

Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed Draven’s clothing, yanking him back.

It was a mistake.

The two elders behind him remained silent, but their sharp gazes were fixed entirely on Philipa.Like judges already passing sentence.Mark cleared his throat from beside the desk.A satisfied smile stretched across his face as he addressed the newcomers.“Perfect timing, Sir Boorman.”He gestured toward Philipa.“As you can see, the deception has been uncovered.”His voice carried pride.“The female infiltrator who dared to violate the academy’s sacred laws… has finally been exposed.”Boorman stepped fully into the office, the faint torchlight from the corridor stretching long shadows across the room. His eyes rested on Philipa in Draven’s arms.Slowly… a satisfied smile spread across his thin lips.“So,” he said calmly, clasping his hands behind his back, again “the truth has finally come to light.”The two elders behind him stepped inside as well, their sharp eyes studying Philipa like scholars examining a rare specimen.Mark nodded eagerly.“Yes, Sir. The deception—”Boorman lifted a

Draven stood still for a moment after Mark’s threat. The room seemed to grow heavier.Mark’s grin stretched wider, almost unhinged, as he watched Draven’s back.Slowly… Draven turned. His eyes were calm—but the calm carried something far more dangerous than rage.Mark chuckled.“Ah… so you do understand what I mean.”Of course Draven understood.Every wolf raised under the ancient laws knew the punishment.A female disguising herself as a male to enter the academy.Deception of the council. Violation of sacred order. The punishment was simple... Execution before sunrise.Draven knew the law. But he also knew something else.He would never let it happen. He said nothing.Instead, he turned again toward the door and reached for the handle.Mark’s laughter rang out again.“You’re not leaving.” Draven paused.Mark wiped blood from his lip, still smiling.“There’s no point trying.”His voice carried a cruel satisfaction.“Mr. Boorman and several elders are already on their way here.”The wor

And again... And again. His vision blurred.“Damn it…” he growled under his breath. The sensation kept repeating, sharper each time.Pain... Fear... And desperation. Then suddenly— It stopped.Draven’s head snapped up.His eyes burned with realization.“…Jordan.”Rowan barely had time to react before Draven tore away from him and sprinted the final steps down the corridor. They reached Mark’s office.Draven didn’t hesitate. He kicked the door open with explosive force. The wood slammed against the wall. The sight inside made his blood boil instantly.Philipa lay curled on the floor.Bruised. Groaning. "Tell me,” he continued, his voice rising. “How does it feel to be outsmarted in your own little game of deception?”Philipa’s chest rose and fell rapidly. She tasted blood in her mouth.“I asked you a question!” Mark roared.SMACK!The second slap was even harder. Her chair tipped sideways and she collapsed onto the floor, catching herself with shaking hands.Across the room Kaden leaned back further in his chair, watching with clear enjoyment.Philipa forced herself not to cry out.Not in front of him. Never in front of him.Mark paced slowly in front of her.“You deceived this entire academy,” he said coldly. “You deceived your family. You deceived the laws of our kind.”His voice dripped with disgust.“All for what? Your selfish ambition?”Philipa’s fingers curled into the floor.“You she-wolves…” he continued with venom. “Always reaching for things that were never meant for you.”His eyes burned with hatred.“You have no right to be seen in this world of power. No right to be heard.”

The corridor stretched long and quiet before them.Philipa walked a few steps behind Mr. Mark, her hands clasped loosely in front of her as she tried to keep her breathing steady. Their footsteps echoed softly against the stone floor, the only sound breaking the silence of the late hour.Usually the academy halls were filled with noise—students laughing, arguing, rushing between rooms—but tonight everything felt unnaturally still.Too still.Philipa kept her gaze forward, though her thoughts were anything but calm. Why did he summon me?Her mind ran through every possible mistake she could have made.Had someone discovered something?Had someone seen her when she tried to escape?Or worse… Had someone begun to suspect what she truly was?She forced herself to swallow the rising fear and kept walking.Ahead of her, Mr. Mark’s pace remained steady, his hands folded behind his back as though this late-night walk was the most ordinary thing in the world. The silence between them only made

The quiet that followed their closeness felt almost sacred. For a long moment neither Philipa nor Draven moved. The candle burning on the small desk cast a warm, wavering glow across the stone walls, softening the harsh edges of the academy dormitory. Outside the narrow window the night was deep and still, the moon hanging pale and distant above the training grounds.Philipa lay against Draven’s chest, her breathing slowly evening out as exhaustion finally began to pull at her. The past few days had taken everything from her—grief, fear, anger, and the relentless effort of pretending she was strong enough to carry it all.Draven’s arm rested around her shoulders, holding her close without pressure, as though afraid she might break if he held too tightly. His other hand moved slowly through her hair, the motion quiet and absentminded, almost instinctive. For once, his thoughts were not racing. For once, the world outside this small room did not exist.Philipa closed her eyes, listening
