Jade's POV

Zade came right in time while I was setting the table up for lunch. He ran in Turley's arms with the book and pen, and a folded paper in the other hand that I suppose is the letter.

"Nonna, I wrote a letter for my dad. Do you want to read it?" He said delightfully.

"You really wrote a letter without your mom's help? That's impressive." Turley made him sit in her lap and took the letter from him.

I was serving veggies salad on her plate when I noticed her jaw dropping. She refused to blink her eyes and her eyebrows arched as she read the letter, thus piquing my interest.

"Did you really write this?" She asked in a voice full of shock.

"Sure, I did, Nonna. With my own hands." He showed his tiny hands with dots of ink all over his thumbs and forefingers.

I was really curious to see what he wrote that left Turley wonderstruck. I took the letter from her and read it.
