Chapter Thirty-Five
Jordan POV
Dad was yelling at me through the mind-link for crossing the border and going after Cassidy endangering Lani and Vanessa. I knew I was in the sh*t when I told him we were coming. Felix, dads wolf was standing over me. His black fur was standing up. I hated when Felix took control, he was so much more aggressive than dad was. Dad suddenly goes silent; Felix’s ears perk up and his head turns to the section of weeds we ran from. Koray follows his line of sight and suddenly Nina comes charging out of the woods and tackles Koray.
She starts biting and attacking him Felix bites her neck and pulls her off. She turns and claws at his face and he growls, the scratch across his eye starting to heal. She backs down and shifts back. Cassidy stands up apologising to Felix.
“I’m so sorry Alpha, I didn’t realise it was you.” She bows her head ashamed of her actions. Felix shifts back and dad walks over and hugs her.

I wake to a knock on the bedroom door. When did I get into bed? I think to myself as I look around the bedroom. I was back in control, Nina fast asleep behind the veil. Jordan POVI knew Cass was mad at me but I had decided to just let it run its course. She would forgive me eventually. I mean she had to right? We were living in the same house after all. My eyes flash open. It’s dark. I can barely make out more than five metres in front of me. I stand, feeling the cool air wash over me, a nice light breeze blowing through the trees. It’s quiet. The only sounds I hear are my heart beating rapidly in my chest and the trees rustling in the wind. I don’t even hear any animals. Strange. I must be deep in the woods.
