Chapter 24: Her First Shift
Dakota looked down at Kydence, she nodded at him. Dakota held out his hand and Daniel gripped it. “I forgive you, but you still have a decision to make.”
Daniel rubbed his face. “I know, believe me, I do love Alexis. In all honesty I have always loved her since I met her back in high school.” He admitted. Dakota chuckled. “I thought that was you.” Daniel grinned at him and shrugged. “Yeah, well when you were in the hospital, she was a mess. I never meant for any of this to happen. I knew she was with you and questioned her, but she assured me that she...well that she didn’t love you. She said she felt pressured to be with you and it wasn’t what she wanted.”
Kydence snorted. “Yeah, she wanted an Alpha, and she got one in you.” She pointed to Daniel.
“I guess that’s why she came back to get Dakota back, he’s an Alpha now.” Ali said.
