Chapter 30: A New Breed

Dev POV

Lost in my sorrow, It didn't bother me to check on my baby.

Is the baby a girl or a boy? All I saw that I was holding on to that pink bundle in my arms when it opened the eyes; it was glowing as honey-colored eyes.

But my heart was heavy when I realized I lost my wife.

As I heard the scream, I rushed inside.

The sight shook my core as my eyes popped up.

Davina was not on her bed. She grabbed the midwife's neck as she was screaming with pain.

I didn't know how to react when I saw her fangs coming out from her mouth and penetrates themselves into the midwife's neck.

She sucked her blood as her scream changed into the cracking of bones.

I pulled Davina with one hand as she pushed me hard with her one hand. She was powerful, and her violet eyes were changed into the red one.

What happened? She was dead, and how come she was alive?
