The why I retired

My father looked surprised by this. “Moriah, do you know why I retired?” I rolled my eyes. He never said it; it was a surprise to me and the entire community of psychiatrists. “I have studied, diagnosed, and cured thousands of patients. However, some conditions can't be treated by modern medicine.”

Modern medicine? Does he mean ancient natural remedies? I waited patiently for him to continue. “Yesterday, I told you this. You know that not everything can be explained by science. It is impossible to explain everything. We feel the supernatural world, although we cannot see it. Hunches and premonitions are examples.”
