Chap.22*Taken Away*
After a few hours of lying down in the bed after being rejected by Ryker, Kathleen couldn’t fall asleep. She gave up on the idea of trying of going to bed when Juan woke up and started crying. At least she had someone with her, someone who she could call hers.
“Oh, hey!” she reached him and picked him up in her arms very gently, “Are you deciding to pull an all-nighter?” Kathleen smiled very weakly at her baby while rocking him up. The baby was probably bored in the room, Kathleen took Juan and his teddy to the living room and settled on the couch.
She had been busy watching Juan play when Ryker came out of his room, wearing a tux and looking all fresh. She quickly understood he was headed out to celebrate his birthday but didn’t know where he was going.
Kathleen saw Ryker getting ready for his birthday, wearing his best suit and doing his perfect hair. He looked charming like always, she watched him perfecting his looks before he stepped closer to the couch
