Chapter 3
The Twins 18th Birthday
One of the most anticipated days had arrived. It was the Twin's 18th birthday, the day they would officially become Alpha, sharing the duties and responsibilities equally. Both Twins were also looking forward to the prospect of meeting their mates. One of the greatest accomplishments of being an Alpha was being able to find your mate as soon as you turned 18 and producing heirs.
Life was simple and peaceful then. Everyone lived in harmony, there was no battle for territory or rogue wolf packs. The Humans lived in ignorance of the wolves. The Royal family planned a banquet dinner in celebration of the Twins turning 18. For most of their day, their family was busy with preparations for the nights' event. The Twins had 5 younger siblings, Liah was born after the twins, she was 16. Lexia was born next, she was 14, then came Liam who was 12, and another set of twins, Linton and Lacy who were 9.
Luka and Lyle were identical twins. Tall, with black hair and deep blue eyes that sometimes looked as light as the shallow ocean tide, and at other times as dark as the deep ocean trenches. Luka wore his hair slightly long, it reached to his ears, Lyle on the other hand, kept his hair longer in the front and spiky at the top with a cropped back. Both had a lean frame and a chiseled face with muscles that rippled across their body. They were nothing short of perfection. Good looks ran in the entire Royal family, they were indeed blessed with physical and magical attributes.
Both brothers understood what this night signified for them and as they got dressed together that night, Lyle joked that they would both fall in love with twin sisters and that they would meet their mates tonight at their banquet dinner. Luka chuckled and said that as much as that would be the best birthday present, he did not think that twin werewolf girls would suddenly appear who they were not aware of because they knew everyone from the packs under their rule and in the surrounding areas, and there were no twin female werewolves around their age. Lyle smirked and replied, "Indeed brother, but a guy can truly hope and dream, and today being our 18th birthday, perhaps dreams do come true."
Luka admired Lyles optimism. Although he hoped to meet his mate soon, he did not think that it was likely that he would turn 18, become Alpha and meet his mate all on the same night, and he was right.
That night as Lyle entered the banquet hall, he was hit with an intense feeling that he felt deep in his manhood. His cock stood erect and throbbed, bursting at the seams of his pants. Together with these carnal feelings, he was enveloped with an intoxicating scent that he could not shake off. He thought that this feeling was strange, he had never experienced something like this before. He scanned the crowd to see if anyone else was experiencing the same feelings, or if they had noticed his body's reaction. His Twin was looking at him weirdly, probably wondering what was wrong. Luka then said, "Hey man, are you ok? You are looking rather flushed and a bit dazed?" Lyle replied, "I feel a bit strange, I can't explain it to you, but the feeling is sort of like having an extremely high fever. or hot flushes." Luka was a bit concerned and was about to suggest that they sit outside for a while until Lyle felt better, but as Lyle looked up his eyes locked on a pair of honey-brown eyes. Instantly he felt the connection, the pull, his body realigning with hers. He knew he had found her, his beloved mate! The beautiful woman with blonde hair and a small delicate face must have realized it too because she stared back at Lyle in surprise and then absolute adoration. Lyle purposefully strode towards her and when he was standing in front of her, his face softened and he took her hand. "Hi, I'm Lyle, I'm one of the new Alphas, today is my birthday, and you're my mate", greeted Lyle nervously. The beautiful young woman laughed joyously. "I know who you are", she replied. "I am so honored to be your mate. Everyone knows who the Royal Alpha Twins are, and I can barely believe that you are mine", the sweet girl replied.

Mixed EmotionsThe birthday celebrations continued, together with the Announcement of the Twins as Alpha and the Introduction of Rosalie as Lyles mate. The rest of the Royal family were eager to meet Rosalie and crowded the couple once the formalities were over. Trembling Earth King Alexander and Queen Irina were the first to notice the trembling within the Hall and instantly knew that something was wrong with Luka. They knew that Lukas was tied to the ocean, a water element. and Lyle was tied to the sun, a fire element. They never disclosed much of this to the boys growing up because they did not want them to become aware of their gifts and curse. There was never much of a threat or battles while the Twins were growing up, so most of the time their emotions were in check. The Voice in My Head Luka didn’t get much sleep that night. He kept recalling the voice in his head. He could not understand why he was becoming so obsessed with it and was confused about what had actually happened last night when he was at the cliff. He remembered the huge wave. He was not afraid of it, instead, he felt one with it. His emotions resonated with the fury of the wave. He knew it was destructive, but he also knew it would not reach the people at the banquet hall whom he cared for, it would have probably swallowed him up and taken out the rest of the villages in its wake. Then the voice sounded from within him, and his raging emotions were instantly stilled, just like the waves of the ocean. Could it be that his emotions were somehow linked to the ocean, thought Luka? I mean he was a werewolf, an Alpha from a Royal Bloodline, so he guessed it could be possible, but why hadn’t his parents mentioned anything to him before. Did they even know?

Confrontation As Luka approached the castle his breathing became laboured. He could feel heat rolling off of him and his eyes became dark swirls. The TruthThe King cleared his throat and began his story. “When your mum was pregnant with you and your brother, she was not aware that she was pregnant with Twins.
