Chapter Ten: Emily's POV

The fact that Dylan was intentionally ignoring that he and I were mates, was getting on my nerves. Ii felt like what happened with Daniel was happening all over again.

I felt it the very moment I walked into the house. It was a shock, because how could I be mated to Dylan, the brother of the person who had rejected me?

All these years, I believed I was destined to die alone, then out of the blue, I find that I am mated to the brother of the man who rejected me, after using me, just for his personal gain.

It was indeed a cruel fate. I sighed again.

“About what?” He asked as I kept my gaze on him.

I knew he was aware of the connection we had. If he was going to reject me, he might as well do it now, I never claimed to be ready for a relationship, especially with the twin brother of the father to my kids.
