Chapter 23: Secret visits (1)
Unaware of everything around him, Yuan Rui was sitting and waiting in an office in the hospital which contacted Zhi Rou about the baby. He was waiting patiently with the social worker to return with the baby so that he could see him. He was secretly meeting the child for the second time since Zhi Rou mentioned him.
He tapped his finger nervously on the armrest of the chair. The door creaked open slowly and in walked the social worker with the baby cradled in his hands. Turning his head, he saw the baby wrapped in a blanket and gently took him from the social worker, “Thank you,” he said with a smile.
