Chapter 06

                   ROWLAND

"Your Highness, you're getting us wrong. What we're simply saying is that she isn't rightful enough for the throne. She's just eighteen for goodness sake. Besides, she doesn't know what it means to be justified." The minister of war spat angrily.

"And do you know what it means to be justified?" I smiled wickedly.

Arguments erupted in the throne room as different officials kept on blabbing and yelling.

"She can't even control a whole of us. Talkless of speaking in front of everyone in the nation. Is such a girl fit to rule?" The Minister of Finance uttered.

Suddenly the room temperature dropped down as everyone felt cold and couldn't move as if their legs were rooted to the floor.

Everyone's lip got sealed like it was taped. The noise also died down instantly.

"Even my presence is enough to silence you. Yet you talk or maintaining orderliness. Aren't your words working against you now?" A voice rang out from the doorstep.

"And I don't know what it means to be justified? Your older son and you orally and singlehandedly taught me about what politics means. Do you mean to tell me you're incapable of teaching a kid what it means to be a successful aristocrat?" Ellandria walked through the narrow path that led to the throne directly.

Her face was clearly seen as a smirk appeared on her face.

"Since you're speechless, I guess we have nothing to do than proceed with the state affairs." I announced.

'Rowland. Forgive me for being late. I had to attend to something very important.' She spoke through telepathy and I replied her.

"My lady. The famine rate in the city has gotten higher. How do you plan to resolve this?" The Minister of Finance asked gently.

"Each household should engage in one method of farming or another to provide for themselves."

"Capitals shall be given out by tomorrow!" Ellandria added.

Her judgement is great! She's a successful aristocrat already.

               ELLANDRIA

"Is there anything else ?" I asked

"Well My Lady, the army is lacking ammunitions right now and there aren't much soldiers in the army anymore. There's a need for recruitment process and making ammunitions." The Minister of Defense came out and bowed.

"Rowland. You don't mind if I disturb you with this, do you?" I looked at him trying to force a smile but it isn't coming. I don't want him to feel like I'm ordering him around.

"I'll be pleased to be disturbed, My Lady." He replied in delight.

"I guess that's all for today then." I walked out of the throne room and whispers started coming up again.
