After battling with the deadliest thoughts that night, I sat on a chair beside her as she slept peacefully. I was in trouble of losing my mind and myself. I never thought I would ever lust over a woman in my life. I made the rule to spite Landon; now, it was backfiring at me. I took a small knife from the cabinet and toyed with it while looking at her. The only way to get rid of this foolishness was to kill her, but even as I thought of that, I knew I could never kill her.

She was everything I had learned to hate but also everything my soul desired.

I sat there watching her with the knife and only a towel wrapped around my waist. I did not bother to wear clothes and did not even have the strength to search for something to wear. Sleep took over me in a few minutes, and I clapped my hands to turn off the light. I settled into a sleep filled with dreams of her.
