Chapter 48: A King One Day

“Because they deserved a fate as horrible as hers.”

“Hers?”

He told the king about the human girl whom they not only sucked the blood to dry but sexually assaulted in the kitchen. At the end of his answer, the king looked sharply at his father—who was standing next to him and roaring inside to tear him apart all over again.

At the king’s order, the sentinels came rushing to grasp their chief’s arms. The struggle disturbed the throne room. With the floor cracking and vampires moving around to avoid the chief sentinel’s attempt to break free, the large hall was in chaos.
