The security lessons

Iyya had been lost in the memories of the first time she met her stepmother. She remembered that time many years ago when she met Heina for the first time.

That unfortunate day Iyya was coming out of school. And found a very nice car parked and waiting for her at the school gate, and at first instinct she wanted to run away.

‘No kid should get into unknown cars on their way home.’ She took those security lessons she had learned from her teachers at heart, but to her surprise, she heard her father’s voice from the parked car calling her.

And turned back, walked to the car and, after assuring herself it was truly her father in the car. She entered the car that day and it was the beginning of a newly transformed life for her and her father.
