It was at least an hour before Wyatt and I made it down to his office.  I don’t know if Lia and Jarrett were on time, themselves, but they were waiting for us with a smug look on their faces.  I ignored it, blushing deeply, but Wyatt acted like he was accepting a gold medal on a podium.  I smacked his shoulder to get him to stop while Jarrett and Lia dissolved into giggles.

I had verified that Julie was outside Wyatt’s office and we left the door cracked.  We didn’t want it to look like we were inviting her to listen in, but we also wanted her to hear what we were going to say.  I suggested that Wyatt call Julie and ask her to bring in some coffee for us.  He didn’t have to; as soon as our voices started sounding serious, she knocked and poked her head in, offering it to us.
