I slowly opened my eyes as I heard the voice . Her gaze landed on the broad chest of a man. I felt his arm wrapped around my waist while his hand was gently stroking my hair. I immediately pushed him on instinct but not the man did not even budge. I was stunned for a moment. Because I remembered something specific about this scenario. It happened before.

“You are awake. Thank God,” said the man with a familiar baritone voice.

I slowly raised my face and almost gasped when our eyes met. My green eyes meet his dark ones. My suspicion was correct. It was the guy at the hospital! There was the strange beating of my heart again. That continuous thumping that I didn't want to feel.

Before I could speak, the man quickly stood up. “You were having a nightmare, that was the only way I could think of to calm you down. And you kind of really calmed down,” he said before sighing and scratching his messy hair. “Maybe you can’t understand what I’m saying.”

The man must have thought that I ca
