Chapter 19

When I opened my eyes, all of my siblings were looking at me. Taylor shook her head, “You really are a sucker for punishment.” I shrugged, “I’m pretty headstrong. Ask my mom. I gave her a hard time a lot.” Blaise laughed, “Must run in the family.” I laughed. I looked out the window, and the sun was shining into the room, “Was I out all night?” They all nodded as they smiled at me. Max chuckled, “I think she knocked you out because you woke her up. That vent behind you carries noise from in here, straight to her room.” I went wide-eyed, “Shit! I wonder if she heard my mom?” Then one of the fairies spoke in my ear, “She didn’t hear any of that. She’s still totally unaware that we are here.” I breathed a sigh of relief, “We’re all good.”

“Can any of you look out that window,” I asked. Taylor stood and stared out the window for a few minutes then turned to me with a tear in her eyes, “I just saw my parents playing frisbee with me. I totally forgot they used to do that.” I smiled
