Chapter 48 - Like They Knew Each Other

"you look nervous..." Sophie said and I sighed, "how should I look?"

She shrugged before going to sit in bed, "I don't know. Curious or excited. I've seen her. She is very beautiful."

She has always been beautiful. I could never forget that about her. But also I could never forget the pain I went through with her sitting there watching. I know she was a kid but she must have known what her dad was doing was wrong. She should have helped me. But my cries were not enough.

"I know.." I responded to Sophie and she laughed, "no Allison. I don't think you know. I've seen her and she looks like she was cut out of the magazine... She looks like those models who have been photoshoped, only she isn't photoshoped, she is fucking real."
