I was young as twelve when I first shifted form into the monster that I am now. Although my first full moon was just as typical as any other, my father had a different belief secretly influenced by his hunger for power. For a long while, he believed that I was innately special only because I shifted shape way to early than a normal werewolf would. Normally, wolfborns like us don’t shapeshift until we reach our seventeenth cycle where the wolf blood running inside our veins starts to fully take-over the body.

My transition to wolfhood was truly special and my father made sure that every single life in the pack recognized the phony that was me. In their eyes, I was extra special but in my own perception, I’m just as mediocre as everyone else. I might have gained my beast form at such an incredibly early age but when I think of it, it isn’t really that special. It feels more like I just hit puberty way too early than my peers.
