Liam's POV

Zeus took full control of me, transforming and taking off into the woods. I spotted Trent's wolf enclosing on the fawn. Just as his jaw began to clamp down on flesh, the fawn dropped, and I collided with Trent's wolf, rolling us thirty to forty feet away from the fawn.

Trent rolled onto his paws, jumping up with confusion and anger. He charged me, snarling and pooling drool under him. I swiftly ducked his attack, and countered by sinking my jaw into his neck and slamming him to the ground.

I let my Royal Command flow through me, pinning him in place. He whimpered in submission. He has never seen the wolves around here, so he doesn't know it is me. But he can feel the Alpha in me is stronger than the Alpha in him, and he has no choice but to submit.

I released him and stepped back, putting myself between him and the fawn, and sent a warning snarl in his direction. A clear command to leave the fawn alone. Leave. Trent scrambled backwards in a constant bow as he tucked tail. He turned and ran back towards the castle.

I walked over to the fawn to check on it. I could hear it's little heart beating rapidly, but beating nonetheless. Zeus gently rubbed his snout along the fawns, conveying the message of safety. Aurora's sweet vanilla and orchid scent still lingered on the tiny creature.

Zeus rubbed his snout across the fawn a few more times until it's little heart beat slowed closer to normal. A snap in the twigs had me looking up quickly.

It's mother. Thank the goddess.

I slowly backed away from her baby and then bowed to show her respect. The doe cautiously tip-toed towards it's young. Sniffing the fawn to make sure it was okay. The baby stood up and walked with it's mother.

Inner me smiled. I did it. I saved the baby.

I took my leave and made my way back to the dining hall. I made sure my entrace went unnoticed, as I slipped into my seat. My eyes found Silver Ridge's table to my precious little mate, who stared at her plate with tears still streaming down her face.

'I saved it, princess', Zeus and I, desperately wanted her to hear us. 'I saved it'.

Aurora looked up with furrowed eyebrows as her gaze locked on mine. I tilted my head. 'Can you hear me, princess?", I tested it. Her eyes grew wide, her lips parted, and her cheeks blushed. Yes, she can hear me. 'The baby is safe', I said. 'So, please eat', I told her.

She placed her hand to her heart and took a few breaths before she picked up her fork.

I'm curious on how she heard me though. Yes, she is my mate, but she does not have a wolf, that's how mates communicate telepathically, or even within the pack.

'We couldn't hear her though', Zeus added to my thoughts. He's right. Her eyes conveyed she wanted to speak.

"Thank you all for joinging us for our ceremonial Worthy Wars", my father announced, standing to get everyone's attention. "This evening will be the preambular ball. In the morning our future Alphas will start training for the first test at the end of the week", he explained.

I stared at Aurora, who kept fidgetting in her seat. 'Something's wrong', Zeus growled. I looked over her body language. She sat on the far edge of her seat, away from Trent and closer to her father. I know it's her father, I heard what he said to her, and I can smell their bloodline.

Aurora said something to her father. He scowled before reluctantly nodding. She stood and left the room.

"Where have you been?", my father's voice breaks my concentration. "I had some business to attend to", I cleared my throat as I peered over at him. "Well you smell like the forest", he uttered, wrinkling her nose.

A few moments passed and Aurora returned to her seat, getting my full attention, once again. I can't get enough of her in that white little sundress, that showed off her thick curves.

Trent leaned over and whispered something in her ear, making her cower away. My nose flared with anger, wondering why that little bitch had a thing for taunting my mate. I'll make sure that fucker dies during these wars.

Liam's POVMy chest constricted at the idea of not being able to mark my mate. Curse the moon goddess. I know she is only giving her a choice. But, fucking hell, help a brother out. Aurora peered up at me curiously with her sun filled eyes. The light glinting off of them as a hint of a smirk crossed her lips. She put an arm behind her back, swaying slightly as she took a step toward me. She toyed with my shirt. A beautiful smile on her face. Her cheeks reddend with a blush before she spoke. "Who said I didn't want you to mark me?", she asked, playfulness in her voice. My hands shot out and grabbed her by the waist to pull her to me, smashing our chests together. "Do you want me to mark you?", I questioned, hopefullness lacing my voice. She bit her lower lip, and cocked her head to the side. "Let's go practice", she chirped, pulling herself from my grasp and skipping away from me. What just happened? Wait a minute. It only took a few wide strides before I had her in my grip once agai

Aurora's POV"Thank you, Lola", I bowed. "You're welcome, Princess Aurora", she smirked. "Time to wake up now", she smiled. My soul was snatched backwards. I felt my body and soul reconnect with a zap. My eyes shot open, catching Liam off guard. "Hey, beautiful. How do you feel?", he whispered, running his thumb over my cheek. "Better", I smiled. "Much better."Liam grinned, "Good" "I met the moon goddess", I gasped. A sparkle shined in his eyes as he watched my excitement. "I know", he flashed a toothy grin. I sat up and connected my lips to his, surprising him. His fingers entangled in my hair, gripping it tightly. I ran my hand up his shoulder and down his back, pulling him closer to me. A subtle growl vibrated our chests. A growl of pleasure, content, happiness. Our chests rose and fell heavily, when our lips parted. "What was that for?", he asked softly. "Because you deserved it", I whispered, with a hint of a smile. "How?", he chuckled in disbelief. "By keeping me safe while

Aurora's POVLiam's face mirrored mine. Our eyes growing wide from the clear demand. His eyes locked on mine. He swallowed hard before nodding and dropping his arm with a sigh. I approached the spec with caution and now fear. My soul broke when my brain registered what I was staring at. I dropped to my knees as a sob tore through my chest. Liam wrapped his arms around my shoulders, offering me his silent support. I reached my hand out and placed it on the gashed, stiff side of the fawn. My breath was stolen from me, images of Trent chasing and killing the baby, before I collapsed. 'Aurora, wake up. We need to talk', the voice was sweet, smooth, feminine. 'Awake, my child.'My eyes shot open. Liam sat above me, an expression of concern on his face as he held me closely. But something didn't feel right. As I sat up, Liam didn't move, causing me to subsequently pass through him. I bolted to my feet, panic rising in my throat. 'Am I dead?', I asked, touching my body. A serene chuckle me

Aurora's POVHis hand on my lower back was gentle, though taut. I stayed silent as we walked to his room. "Get changed and we will go train", he instructed, pointing to the workout clothes on his bed when we walked in his room. I sat my bag on the floor and turned to face him.He cocked his head to the side as he evaulated me. "Are you angry with me?", I asked. His features softened as he cupped my cheeks. "Not at all, little one", he whispered. "Then, what's wrong?", I questioned. He sighed, as he stroked my cheek with his thumb. "I'm angry that your father hasn't been taking care of you like he's supposed to. Wolf or not", he answered through gritted teeth. The pain in my chest eased knowing he wasn't angry with me. "I apologize for that spilling over on you. I was not trying to take it out on you", his words were gentle and sincere. "Please forgive me", he muttered. I nodded my head with a light smile. "I do". He kissed my forehead, his lips lingering on my skin. "Please get read

Liam's POVAurora took a second to collect herself before turning her face toward mine. "It's not the act that makes me nervous. Talking about it makes me... uncomfortable", she muttered. I smirked, as I looked over her sweet innocent face. "You can put my dick in your mouth, but you can't say that you were riding it?", I chuckled. Her eyes grew wide, as her cheeks flushed red. She gasped, attempting to free herself from my hold, only succeeding in turning to face me. I laughed in amusement, as I backed her against the bookshelf. "You are mine. You know that right?", I asked, running my thumb along her jaw. Her lips parted and ehr breathing shifted. "Yes", it was but a whisper on her tongue. "Say it, princess", my voice was low and guttural. "I'm yours", she uttered softly. Zeus purred in my mind, full of happiness that she recognizes us as her mate. I captured her lips in a gentle kiss. I was savoring her taste like ine wine. Her lips were as soft as egyptian cotton. I rested my f

Liam's POV"Are you studying?", I asked, setting the books down and startling her by accident. "Uh", she froze momentarily. "No, I wasn't", she answered honestly. "Good girl. Thank you for being honest. What's occupying your thoughts instead?", I asked, combing her hair out of her face. "My anxiety is peaked, right now. I've never stood against my pack before. So, I guess I'm pondering the unknown at the moment. A bit worried I won't be able to defend myself if Trent attempts to solidify this bond", she sighed, rubbing her chest in discomfort. "We are going to fix this, little one", I whispered, stroking the back of her neck. "I'm right here, now. You're safe, princess. Study", I commanded tenderly. She nodded, looking down at the book in front of her. I hate that she feels this way. I wish I could take the feeling away quicker. But, I remember reading something about this before. There was a process to reverse it. A process that I spent hours searching for. I answered any questio
