Millie's P.O.V.
I held on to him tight as he carried me through the woods. I am starting to realize something. Hayden is a complete fake. He acts all tough and acts like he doesn't give a shit about anything but underneath, he is a sweetheart. He came to look for me because he didn't want me to walk alone. He was worried about me. But I bet he'd rather die before he admits it.
I tightened my arms around him a little more. He wasn't kidding. He is pretty strong. He had been carrying me for a while, yet he didn't even look tired. His strong arms held my legs tightly around his waist. His hair smells like a mixture of shampoo and sweat, which was weirdly comforting to me.

Hayden's P. O. V. I watched Millie splashing around in the river with Alison. Mischievous thoughts circulated in my mind as I saw her looking completely defenseless.
