LOGINThe day passed by in a blur of activities and by seven pm I had an account which I texted to Frank.
Jane left after explaining in details, how to use the app and answer calls, -like seriously I don't know if she thinks I'm incapable of doing or knowing that-, with a promise of returning the next day which was Christmas eve, once she's done with work.I just got into my room when I heard the sound coming from my laptop so I sat on my bed and quickly accepted the call.Thank God my hair was still in place apart from a few loose strands and I was still dressed in my leggings and cardigan. Phew."Hey you" I said with a smile when I saw his face."Hey you too" he said returning my smile "you look.. Beautiful. Its like you're glowing." I blushed at that."Oh please stop that, I'm all sweaty from moving up and down today" I said, glad things are not awkward like I thought it would be."Yea. Which is why you're a special kind of beautiful" he said with a serious face.I can't deny that I love the way he throws compliments so easily and boldly."Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself" I said and noticed a new tattoo on his arm that wasn't there in the last picture he sent me. "And you got another tattoo?" I was never a fan tattoos, but I beg to differ, he pulls it off nicely. no pardon me, greatly."Yes. guess I did. And it still hurts a little" he said with with a slight grimace on his face when he tried to hide the tattoo before i got a good look at it"Aww, come on I want to see it" I pleaded with a pout on my face. He just smiled and shook his head at my antics."You'll see it, but not today" he pulled his sleeve lower when he saw that I was staring intently at his arm."Come on. I promise to show you next time we meet?""That sounded like a question, are you sure you're gonna show me?" I asked. but i realized something. "you know I just have to watch one of your matches and I'll see it right?" I told him confidently, with a raised brow.He just chuckled and nodded his head, causing me to narrow my eyes at him."I'll show you okay? Just not now" He looked and sounded sincere so I nodded my head in reply."Okay..." There was a moment of silence which I used to take him in properly. Before he said."You know, sometimes I just wish I was a regular guy with a normal life" he had a faraway look on his face when he said which caused me ask."Uh, why? I mean a lot of people would kill just to have your life for a day" it sounds shallow, but that's the truth and we all know it."No, I do love what I do, and I love my fans. Its just, I wish.. I wish I could go out without encountering the paparazzi or obsessive fans, it gets... Crazy and frustrating sometimes. Or most times. Like right now I'd love to go out with you, or we could just take a walk, get to know you and experience the little things with you" he broke off with a long sigh. And I only gathered my thoughts to reply after a few beats."Hmm. That sounds like someone's asking me out on a.. date?" I said jokingly to ease off some of the tension. He looked at me seriously before saying. "What if I am, would it be too soon for you? Or you don't want to get dragged into this kind of life?" He asked boldly."Uhm.. " lame.. I know, that was all that came to mind."So? Would you go out on a date with me?" He asked more clearly this time."Well Not now, but definitely after the world cup, once everything's settled?" he kept scratching his hair which I'm guessing is a sign of nervousness.I chuckled at the sight and pretended to think before saying "I thought you just wanted to be friends?" I said feigning a surprised look.He looked like he was actually thinking about how to answer that."Uhhh.. Well I" I couldn't hold it anymore, i released the laughter I'd been holding and he looked at me like I was crazy before he's eyes widened in realization."Oh my God your face was priceless.. I'm just playing with you" I said finally after catching my breath but still continued to laugh lightly."of course I'll go on a date with you, after the world cup that is" he gave me an ear splitting grin when he heard that which caused my heart to beat wildly in my chest."I can't wait" he whispered. And I wanted so badly to believe that this was a good idea, but the pessimist in me keeps telling me that its too good to be true.thanks for reading and voting.Vote/comment.Listen to dusk till dawn - zayn malik ft sia while reading the middle part of this chapter. "Uhm. I. I" I stammered trying to put my thoughts together enough to form a sentence. "What exactly are you talking about?" I asked instead. "Oh you mean I didn't need to know that you're the daughter of Adewale Smith, one of the richest men in Africa?" He asked the question I already knew he was going to ask. "How.. How'd you. Know?" I licked my lips nervously and avoided his eyes. "Well apparently one of the photographers who recognized you is refusing to sell his photos.. Because 'he'll make more money from It' if they get released" he caught my eye and clenched his jaw when I dropped my gaze to the floor. "Mind to tell me what he's talking about?" He asked moving into the room. "I'm sorry.. I just. I didn't think it was important. I just. Oh God." I lifted my head upwards and closed my eyes regretting omitting that little detail to him, its the main reason why I didn't even want my pi
"Turn the car around" Frank quickly told the driver in a rush. While my mind was in a turmoil, I still couldn't decipher what had happened. When we were at a safe distance from the restaurant he relaxed a little. "They must have followed the car when you came to pick me up." He was probably referring to his driver, while pulling out his phone from his pocket, dialing a number. All the while I was numb and quiet even after he finished speaking with a 'Hyacinth', - who I'm guessing has something to do with his publicity or something - and asked if I'm okay. I couldn't answer him. My mind was reeling with different thoughts such as, did they see my face? Do they know who I am? Will there be pictures? Oh God I hope not. I just said yes to him yesterday. I'm not ready for this."Hey, look at me" I finally refocused my attention on him when he shook me a little. "I'm fine" I blurted out. "I just. I. I" I was opening and closing my mouth without forming a proper sentence so I stuck with
"Thank you" I told the driver when he dropped me at the building I'm supposed to be having my meeting in. I looked up at the building in front of me and said a quick prayer to God. I went in and the bubbly receptionist directed me to the 5th floor where my interview will be held and I released a sigh of relief when I got into the elevator and saw that it was empty. Thank God its not a long ride. When I arrived at the 5th floor I saw a few people waiting around on lounge chairs, and I'm guessing they're also here for the interview. I gave my name to the lady behind the desk and she asked to sit and wait until my name is called to go in. When I heard my name I quickly went in and saw a brunette sitting down with his eyes down on papers. "So miss Cassandra," he said raising his head, and then he paused after that and stared at me from head to toe with obvious want in his eyes. I cleared my throat and shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other, regretting my choice of wearing a
I shifted nervously from one foot to the other as I waited for him pickup the phone. "I'm here" I told him immediately he picked the call. Holding my coat tight around my body. I tried not to look as nervous as I felt, but it was proving hard. "Yea. I can see you." I looked around when he said that but only saw a few cars lounging around, I didn't know which one will be his I'm guessing he'll be into sports cars though. I'm not sure. "Well I can't" I said exasperatedly still looking around the airport. He just chuckled and told me his driver was coming to get me since the place was crowded and he didn't want to risk being recognized and wasting time here. "Okay" I said calmly and not up to five seconds later I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a white guy dressed in a navy blue suit. "That's my driver, come with him" I looked at the guy and he nodded his head at me as if he could hear my conversation. He gestured his hand for me to go. "Evening ma'am, if you'll
"Can I come in?" He asked when he dropped me at my house and I gave him a bewildered look, wondering why he wants to come and if he expects anything to happen. It's not like I except him to pull off some moves on me, but I don't think we've gotten to that stage yet to be honest. He just laughed and said "I'm not insinuating anything, its just that my room is totally boring and lifeless. I don't want to go back yet" he explained while still laughing lightly. His amusement easing me off slightly.I looked at him with a small frown on my face "I'm sorry, I just.." inhaled sharply and said "I don't think it's a good idea" He gave me a baffled look before speaking "nothing will happen. I do want you and all that, but only what you're ready to give. I'm sure the wait will be brutal, but the end is all that matters right? But if you're still not comfortable, we can call it a night at this point" he said questionably with a lift of his brows. I looked at the cute look on his face and sighed
This happens a little over two months after chapter six ~~~"Hello beautiful" he said when I stepped out of the house. "Hello captain, you don't look bad yourself" I complimented him. Well he does look good in his dark jeans, this time around paired with a Burgundy T-shirt and dark glasses. I don't think there's any look he won't pull off effortlessly at this point. And well as for me, I'm dressed in a black short flare gown which I paired with nude colored heels. He said to dress however I want to, but I decided to put in effort into my outfit today. I let my hair down, since the weather is a bit on the cool side today. "See something you like?" I teased when I noticed he was staring intently at me, well I was too. But Inconspicuously at least. "Well yes. for one you look.. Beautiful and its been months since I saw you. I'm just awed that such beauty exists" apparently I didn't have a reply to that apart from a quiet 'thank you'. I should've pretended I didn't see him staring,
