I shifted nervously from one foot to the other as I waited for him pickup the phone.

"I'm here" I told him immediately he picked the call. Holding my coat tight around my body. I tried not to look as nervous as I felt, but it was proving hard.

"Yea. I can see you." I looked around when he said that but only saw a few cars lounging around, I didn't know which one will be his I'm guessing he'll be into sports cars though. I'm not sure.

"Well I can't" I said exasperatedly still looking around the airport. He just chuckled and told me his driver was coming to get me since the place was crowded and he didn't want to risk being recognized and wasting time here.

"Okay" I said calmly and not up to five seconds later I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a white guy dressed in a navy blue suit.

"That's my driver, come with him" I looked at the guy and he nodded his head at me as if he could hear my conversation.

He gestured his hand for me to go. "Evening ma'am, if you'll please follow me," he said with a deep voice and a thick British accent.

I gave him a nod and we walked quietly to the car. Which is definitely not a sports car.

"Hello captain" I said to him once I was seated in the flashy car I had seen earlier but didn't think much about.

He gave me a wide smile and pecked my cheeks which earned a blush from me.

I haven't seen him since that night, because he had to fly back to London the next day. And I'm hoping things will remain the same.

"You look beautiful. Sorry I couldn't come and get you." He told the driver to move before he continued, "and I'm sorry I left so abruptly the other day, I wouldn't have if it was in my control."

"Oh please come one you've been saying sorry for the past one week and I've told you its fine, it comes with your job description," I told him for the nth time.

"You sure? Cause I don't want to seem like a pussy," I thought he was serious until his face stretched into the mischievous grin that I've grown accustomed to, Causing me to roll my eyes at him.

"And saying sorry won't make you seem like one?" I lifted my brows at him in question.

He bit his lips to hide a smile and I thought back to the way those lips felt on mine a week ago. I quickly looked down when he smirked at me like he knew what I was thinking.

The drive must have been short because I can swear we just left the airport and I didn't even get a view of this beautiful city. The next thing I heard was. "We're here sir," the driver said, interrupting whatever he was going to say which I know wouldn't have been good, if judging by the look on his face.

The door opened from outside and I slid out and said thank you to the driver.

"Is this place always so cold?" I asked him as soon as he came around to my side and ushered me into the building.

"No. Just During this part of the year, and I'm sure It gets colder in Chicago" he answered with a shrug. Referring to where I just came from. It definitely does, or so I've heard.

When we stood in front of the elevator I tried not to show the fear I have for this thing, but guess I didn't hide it well.

He tilted his head at me and asked, "are you okay? I hope you're not claustrophobic? We can take the stairs" he made a move to turn around and I held him back seeing as the door was open and I didn't want to stress him over a little fear that I can control.

"No.. I'm not claustrophobic. Lets go" he looked like he wanted to argue so I dragged him in with me.

Its not like every elevator breaks down like the one I first entered back in Nigeria.

He pressed the button for the top floor. Penthouse.

"if you're not scared of closed spaces, then why did you hesitate to get in at first?" he asked curiously turning his attention on me.

"Uhm.. Its just a silly fear" I said trying to brush it off. But he looked like he wasn't having it. So I sighed and said "the first time I stepped foot into an elevator it broke down and I was alone, I was in there for almost an hour. So if I can help it I try to avoid the elevators as much as I can." I finished off with a tight smile.

"Well we could've taken the stairs." My eyes widened at his words.

"What?" He asked quizzically when he saw the look on my face.

"In this building. With about 50 floors?" It might not be up to that, but I'm sure its damn close. "Not every body is strong like you o, I'm not ready to die abeg (please)" I told him and he just kept looking at me with a smile. "What? why are you looking at me like that?" I asked him.

"I love hearing you talk like that" he said still smiling.

"Like what? A normal human being?" I shook my head at him.

"No. Like a Nigerian. A typical Nigerian. I love it"

I rolled my eyes at that and held back a smile.

The doors opened and I noticed that there is only one door on this floor. Typical, that he has the whole floor to him self.

He swiped in his card and typed in his pin.

O. my. God! I stood rooted to where I was at the front of the door when we got in.

He asked if I'm okay but I couldn't even give him an answer because of the view in front of me. If there's anything I love and adore its beautiful views of the city and nature. This one right here has got to be one of my favourites so far. I can't wait to see it at night. I'm sure it'll be Spectacular.

"Are you okay?" He asked me again after he took off his shoes and came to stand in front of me.

I snapped myself out of my head and looked at him "yes I'm fine. You have a nice house, i particularly love the view" I raised my head to look at him and saw him staring at me intently.

Then he kissed me and I forgot what I was even saying immediately. I held onto his coat tightly to both anchor myself and draw him closer.

I've definitely missed this.

Knock knock.

Someone's at the door.

I pulled away lightly and saw him looking at me. "I wanted to do that since I saw you step off the plane." I just looked down and bit my lip, getting shy all of a sudden.

I raised my head when I heard the knock again. "Are you expecting someone" I asked when he went to get the door.

"Must be the driver," he answered and opened the door.

The driver came in with my suitcase which I had forgotten about. I gave myself a mental slap at how easily I had forgotten my things, like I didn't even ask about them.

"Thank you, good night." I called out after him.

"I set up the guest room for you," he said and turned around towards a room I'm guessing will be mine for the duration of my stay.

"I might not be around much but I've talked to the driver and he'll take you around whenever you want to go out" he finally turned around to face me when we entered the room, which also happened to have a nice view of the city.

"Are you hungry? We can go out to eat or just order something if you're tired." He told me.

"No I'm fine. I'm not actually hungry. But I want to tell you something" I quickly added before I loose my nerve.

"Uhm. Okay. What is it?" He asked. All his attention on me.

I got a bit nervous but sucked it up and went up on my tippy toes and kissed him.

He was shocked and frozen for a while before he responded fervently. I love the exhilarating sensation I get whenever I'm with him.

I drew away before I forgot what I want to tell him.

"Yes" I said looking into his beautiful brown eyes that were focused on mine. I don't even know what I was scared of anymore. He looked confused by my statement so I quickly added clearly "I'm yours. I'll be yours for as long as you want me"

His eyes lit up at that. "For real?" he asked enthusiastically. He wouldn't look so excited if he's playing me right?

"Yes" I repeated my answer to him.

"Best decision you've ever made baby" he said with a cocky smile and kissed me again, conveying all the emotions he was feeling into it.

Listen to dusk till dawn - zayn malik ft sia while reading the middle part of this chapter. "Uhm. I. I" I stammered trying to put my thoughts together enough to form a sentence. "What exactly are you talking about?" I asked instead. "Oh you mean I didn't need to know that you're the daughter of Adewale Smith, one of the richest men in Africa?" He asked the question I already knew he was going to ask. "How.. How'd you. Know?" I licked my lips nervously and avoided his eyes. "Well apparently one of the photographers who recognized you is refusing to sell his photos.. Because 'he'll make more money from It' if they get released" he caught my eye and clenched his jaw when I dropped my gaze to the floor. "Mind to tell me what he's talking about?" He asked moving into the room. "I'm sorry.. I just. I didn't think it was important. I just. Oh God." I lifted my head upwards and closed my eyes regretting omitting that little detail to him, its the main reason why I didn't even want my pi

"Turn the car around" Frank quickly told the driver in a rush. While my mind was in a turmoil, I still couldn't decipher what had happened. When we were at a safe distance from the restaurant he relaxed a little. "They must have followed the car when you came to pick me up." He was probably referring to his driver, while pulling out his phone from his pocket, dialing a number. All the while I was numb and quiet even after he finished speaking with a 'Hyacinth', - who I'm guessing has something to do with his publicity or something - and asked if I'm okay. I couldn't answer him. My mind was reeling with different thoughts such as, did they see my face? Do they know who I am? Will there be pictures? Oh God I hope not. I just said yes to him yesterday. I'm not ready for this."Hey, look at me" I finally refocused my attention on him when he shook me a little. "I'm fine" I blurted out. "I just. I. I" I was opening and closing my mouth without forming a proper sentence so I stuck with

"Thank you" I told the driver when he dropped me at the building I'm supposed to be having my meeting in. I looked up at the building in front of me and said a quick prayer to God. I went in and the bubbly receptionist directed me to the 5th floor where my interview will be held and I released a sigh of relief when I got into the elevator and saw that it was empty. Thank God its not a long ride. When I arrived at the 5th floor I saw a few people waiting around on lounge chairs, and I'm guessing they're also here for the interview. I gave my name to the lady behind the desk and she asked to sit and wait until my name is called to go in. When I heard my name I quickly went in and saw a brunette sitting down with his eyes down on papers. "So miss Cassandra," he said raising his head, and then he paused after that and stared at me from head to toe with obvious want in his eyes. I cleared my throat and shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other, regretting my choice of wearing a

"Can I come in?" He asked when he dropped me at my house and I gave him a bewildered look, wondering why he wants to come and if he expects anything to happen. It's not like I except him to pull off some moves on me, but I don't think we've gotten to that stage yet to be honest. He just laughed and said "I'm not insinuating anything, its just that my room is totally boring and lifeless. I don't want to go back yet" he explained while still laughing lightly. His amusement easing me off slightly.I looked at him with a small frown on my face "I'm sorry, I just.." inhaled sharply and said "I don't think it's a good idea" He gave me a baffled look before speaking "nothing will happen. I do want you and all that, but only what you're ready to give. I'm sure the wait will be brutal, but the end is all that matters right? But if you're still not comfortable, we can call it a night at this point" he said questionably with a lift of his brows. I looked at the cute look on his face and sighed

  • The captain's girl   Chapter Seven

This happens a little over two months after chapter six ~~~"Hello beautiful" he said when I stepped out of the house. "Hello captain, you don't look bad yourself" I complimented him. Well he does look good in his dark jeans, this time around paired with a Burgundy T-shirt and dark glasses. I don't think there's any look he won't pull off effortlessly at this point. And well as for me, I'm dressed in a black short flare gown which I paired with nude colored heels. He said to dress however I want to, but I decided to put in effort into my outfit today. I let my hair down, since the weather is a bit on the cool side today. "See something you like?" I teased when I noticed he was staring intently at me, well I was too. But Inconspicuously at least. "Well yes. for one you look.. Beautiful and its been months since I saw you. I'm just awed that such beauty exists" apparently I didn't have a reply to that apart from a quiet 'thank you'. I should've pretended I didn't see him staring,
