chapter 5

"It's not like the way, it sounds," she said in a less harsh tone "I realized years ago that if I want to settle down and have a family, I need to stop dating some particular kind of man. I.........."

" what type of man is that really " James interrupted before I could finish

"Oh you know, the kind, " Amelia said staring back at him

"My type, you mean," he said pointing at himself and not looking pleased.

Now I didn't mean it that way, nor do I even know what way to explain it better she thought. She opened her big mouth and spoke without thinking. "Well not particularly your type, James," she said " You're unique. I know girls date men who they met at least at work. The men I met at work were handsome, and tall but not the most faithful in relationships.

" I see" James chipped in thoughtfully

Amelia was happy he was having a change of man at least and he was no longer cold.

"When I turned 25, I knew I was wasting my time dating men like that. so I came up with a list of what I wanted in a man that I would end up having a family with "

" So you wrote a list of what your husband should possess" he sounded amused by her words.

"Yes I did, I know it sounds funny but when I and Sophia made the list we laughed at each other's silliness "

"Sophia" Who is Sophia ?" your sister or friend ".

" Yes, I call her my sister because we are more than just friends " It was through her boyfriend I met Antony ".

"I always wondered how you two met. I never thought you were suited for each other, still, he must have met your checklist and was well suited "

Amelia sighed, the mere thought of thinking she met her match, the first time she met Antony suddenly felt revolting "I thought he did, he was everything when I first met him and what I needed at that time but later didn't sit well afterward. I now know that it's impossible to know a man until you've lived with him. He met a few of my requirements. When the list was made, I promise myself to go with the checklist so as not to for in love with Mr wrong and be with someone who at least meet the checklist "

James couldn't help but think of the list and what it entails. Amelia knew he found the checklist funny. Though he knew he shouldn't have laughed about her idea, he knew he had a checklist of girls he dated.

They should be at least in their early twenties. They shouldn't be clinging They should respect his decisions. They should be easygoing. They should be pretty. He had a feeling that Amelia's checklist would be long and much more fascinating than his own and couldn't help knowing it would be funny as well .

"Tell me " he said keeping a straight and serious face
