Imogen fell with her butt to the ground. She cringed backwards as a shadow loomed towards her, eating up her entire figure. Her heart was throbbing heavily as it approached closer and closer. It finally stopped to show the ugly, creepy looking figure carved out of the reflection of the moon. Not at that moment could she shed tears and likewise it was of no use.

The figure glared at her, its eyes suddenly becoming soft and warm. It walked over to her and scouted down in front of her. She was on the other hand, shivering and almost crying. Its claws reached her chin while a drop of tears rolled off her eyes. it could feel her breath as it stared into her eyes and her warm breath. It could also feel her fear every time she darted at its eye and tried to escape her gaze.

“The owner?” it asked as she finally looked back at her. Her eyes were wide open but not surprised because it wasn’t the first time she experienced being called The Owner.
