The last place the dog traced Imogen's saint to was the woods.

Looking for Imogen was not a big deal for the dog since it knew every nook and cranny of the woods.

Three werewolves suddenly dashed into the woods in search of Imogen and the alpha, the dog quickly hid himself behind a wood from being seen.

It knows for sure that if he was found he would be dead.

Before they could find him, he got out of the woods. On his way out, he retracted Imogen's saint and set to trace her to her current location

* * *

Pulling over at Imogen's house, she hopped out of the car and slammed the door behind her.

"Now that's worth it,"Oliver said, zooming off.

He knows for the fact that Imogen has got some attitudes ever since he met her.

He is left with no choice but to put up with some of her attitude.

With her teeth clenching in annoyance. She made her way into the house.

"If that freak had not shown up in the first place none of this would have happened"she muffled turning the lights on. she was startled for the second time.

                        "Am I seeing things?"

Thank God she is safe! The dog thought to himself groaning silently in pain.

Imogen looked down to see the dog she treated lying on her sofa completely exhausted. She dropped her bag on a table and scurried towards it. She fondled it dearly as It hummed silently.

As if the dog was going to give her a response "Did Catherine drop you off?" She asked

Imogen saw that it's bandage had loosen, exposing him to all kinds of infections.

She reached for the first aid kit in her room and removed the bandage. She refreshed the surface with a new solution and wrapped it with a new badge.

Overwhelmed by his little innocent eyes, Imogen fondled him gently as he started to fall asleep.

Just then she heard a noise in her room like a broken glass. She was shocked and frightened.

All she could think of was her encounter with the werewolf who kidnapped her recently.

She walked to her room slowly reaching for her usual self defence, the thick hockey stick as she was ready to attack from any angle even though she was damn scared.

Getting to the room, Imogen couldn't find any trace of a living soul, not even a piece of glass, she was so relieved. She felt like a heavy little burden was lifted from her mind.

"I guess I've been too disturbed lately," she said.

Returning back to the sitting room, she heard the noise again. This time it was so loud that it woke up the dog.

She rushed to her room to see her mirror disrupting and arranging itself. It stopped suddenly.

She screamed as she fell to the floor clutching backwards. The dog ran over to her, making her feel somewhat safe. It stepped away suddenly and jumped out of her window just when he sensed one of his kinds close by.

Imogen scurried towards the window trying to stop him from leaving but she was too late, it had gone far.

She felt more scared seeing herself alone in the house. She secluded herself to a corner of her room shivering slightly as she could feel the coldness of her palms and feets.

Immediately, Oliver jumped into the room through the window. she was startled and she clutched backwards.

Oliver could see every bit of her fear in her eyes.

Embracing her in his arms, "Hey, it's okay! It's me," he assured as Imogen tried to catch her breath.

She could feel his warmth with her head placed on his muscular body. His heartbeat sent sensations down her spine and his arms wrapped around her tiny body reassuring her that she was safe.

She calmed down as her palm and feet returned to its normal temperature.

Returning to her senses, she let herself off his grip and tilted her hair back to her ear. She cleared the lump in her throat as she became nervous about the atmosphere.

Oliver rested his back against the wall near Imogen and cleared his throat.

"Why are you here? You dropped me off earlier," Imogen asked

"Well I heard you screaming." He replied as Imogen chuckled.

"You heard me screaming? Is your house closer to mine or you are stalking me?"

"Don't think too far, I am not jobless enough to stalk you. And besides, why will I be interested in you? It's a werewolf power, got it?" He explained just as Imogen nodded mockingly to every word he said.

"Then why did you come into my house in the first place if you were not stalking me?"

"Well I just happened to find myself here" he shrugged sniffing.

Oliver suddenly caught a glimpse of the dog's smell, he became curious "Was anyone in your house before I arrived?" He asked.

"Anyone? Yeah a dog" she nodded

                "Is that why you screamed?"

"No, it's the mirror! The mirror was strange,  it was like a puzzle arranging itself then it stopped suddenly"

Oliver continued to nod and stare at her like she was pouring him a cup of coffee full of lies.

This time, intentionally doing the same thing she did to him.

Having noticed that he was mocking her, Imogen became annoyed "I am serious!" She shouted.

"After that?" He asked as her brows furrowed.

It almost felt like she was dreaming. She could feel her leg swinging in the air and her arms wrap around two muscular shoulders. What she didn’t understand was why were her legs in the air? She could feel movement though but do not understand anything that was going on. She could feel the weakness in her joints that she almost groan in pain. She opened her eyes slightly as she could see herself moving towards a field outside the mansion. What is this? What is happening? She thought to herself. She looked down to see her legs floating, “Oh god!!” she panicked. She looked to the side to see what was supporting her and saw two guys smiling at her. She was relieved, at least she’s not what she thought she was doing. Floating. She looked forward to see Braylon and Oliver standing and smiling at her. The guys put her down immediately they got in front of them. Imogen was confused. “Was that really necessary?” she asked as Braylon choose to ignore her question. “Do you sleep well my

  • The curse that prevails   Chapter 39- why did you use me?

Pausing for a moment, she wiped her tears away. “Why did you use me?” She asked. He stepped closer whilst Imogen stepped backwards.“I would wait in that room every day, stare outside the room, hoping you could show up just like you had disappeared. Every minute I breathed, I was thinking of ways to make my powers work so I could lift your fucking curse and what? you used me in return and ditched me like I was some leftovers. I had loved you through those five years without, for a minute, loathe you for not returning.” She breathed and yelled.Holding back her tears, “I missed you very, very much.” She ran her fingers through her hair and couldn’t even look at Braylon. Braylon was overwhelmed with emotions. He is on the verge of crying at any moment. At this point, he couldn’t hold it in anymore. He had to tell her exactly what his reasons were. “It wasn’t my wish to deceive you. I couldn’t bring myself to tell you that you have to die for the curse to be lifted, so I had to. If I’m

  • The curse that prevails   Chapter 38- “I love you” “then why did you used me”

“What!?” They both looked back to her standing behind them. She had this straight face and a scowl took over when their eyes met. Braylon took steps towards her trying to cover what she had obviously just found out.“You deceived me for your own cause?” she asked as disappointment swapped in. “No, you have to understand. I…I can explain things to you,” Braylon tried to hold her hand but she shifted away from his touch. She looked at him one last time regretting. All she had done was waited and longed for him for the past five years thinking he loved her and he would come back.A drop of tear rolled down from her eyes. Braylon started to realise he was a jerk. He could feel how sad she was and the feelings of betrayal in her eyes. He could see that at that moment nothing he says would make any difference. He stepped away from her, looking away from her. She scoffed and wiped away her tears, sniffing. “Do you love me?” she asked but got no response from Braylon.“I must be stupid to h

  • The curse that prevails   Chapter 37- I found her

Her speed was getting faster and faster, running further into the woods without any specific destination. Her eyes were filled with intense anger. She got these long sharp fangs, distorted face and rough skin. She was sneering at the same time panting heavily. Her bare foot had gone bruised and cold. Her dress was drenched in Ryan’s blood. She now looked like a queen who ran away from her inauguration after murdering her own king with is exactly what happen. She pulled to a rough stop as soon as a soft breeze blew towards her. Immediately, she was assuaged and calm, still panting. She looked around suspiciously like she noticed the presence of something around her. She was grunting. She looked back and forth continuously without sighting anyone. Her next step made her stopped suddenly, she turned back to see a figure in front of her with a welcoming smile. The smile disappeared when he saw her eyes. Staring and ready to devour him. She turned her head like a zombie and snarled at

Getting to the private reserved room, the waitress stopped at the door and took her leave after showing her the room. The guest nodded and gave her a small tip in appreciation. She opened the door to see her boyfriend seated at the side of a table dressed in an expensive and fitted suit. He had a nice hair cut and was looking more handsome than he ever was to her. He was about a normal height, hot and young that any girl could trip for. He is just as rich but not as rich as her.She blushed in secret as he stood up to pull her into a warm hug. “Damn! Imogen, you look stunning,” he said as he gave her a soft squeeze. She groaned at it and released her from the hug. He pulled out a chair for her and had her seated opposite him. He held her hand and she continued to blush, stealing glances at him. It’s not like it’s their first time going on a date, she was just shy because it was their first anniversary together. Her boyfriend rang the call bell and a waitress arrived after some sec

Those years of waiting for his arrival never seem to end. It’s been five years now. The alpha is yet to be found, neither could Imogen find a way to lift the curse nor did she forget how Braylon was swallowed by a dark shadow right in front of her eyes. She is yet to discover what that shadow was. And she will stop at nothing to look for a way to lift the curse. ***She had been alone in her dark lonely empty room for a year now. Grandma Aubrey was on the other hand concerned that she might get herself killed at that moment. She headed to her room and opened the door to her doing yoga on her bed. The room was unexpectedly clean, well-kept and cold. It was literally freezing outside and she kept the windows open widely. She was just there doing her thing. She does not seem bothered or shivering at all but her skin was pale and her face was all matured, very different from when she just got into the mansion. She had cut her long curly hair short. She now has a bob hairstyle with some s
