Like a predator

"Damien," I said in a low voice as the hurricane of emotions started spinning inside me.

For a while, I was sure it was just a dream. The man sitting on the couch with his chin resting on his fist while he looked at me silently with a blank face. 

 He stood up slowly taking his time. He was wearing a well-fitted black suit just like always. 

The time seemed to slow down as I stared into his icy eyes. With every step, he took in my direction I started feeling like prey in front of a predator. 

"Nora," came his dark husky voice sending goosebumps on my skin.

I tried to read the emotions hiding perfectly in his eyes. But I could not focus on anything under his intense gaze. 

I closed my eyes as he reached in front of me waiting for the worst. Damien's anger must be reaching the sky.
