8. S. City shipping bridge project

As the door closed, she picked up her pace and hurried to the CEO's office. All thanks to her mother, Juliana, who insisted she eat before leaving, Margarita turned up late for the meeting.

A calm knock on the door interrupted Mr. Barlowe's thinking space. He looks ahead, his glasses firmly placed on his nose bridge.

"It's open," He says.

The door was then pushed open from the outside, and Margarita strode in with a sheepish smile.

His typical stoic expression softens as he sees her. He beams, placing the documents he was working on above a pile of other files. He gets up from his chair and walks forward, embracing his little daughter.

"Oh, Daddy, good morning. Why did you leave without waiting for me?"

She whines. Mr. Barlowe chuckles.

"You were sleeping so soundly and peacefully, I couldn't bear to wake you up."

He responded. "Also, it's past noon already; the morning has already said goodbye for the day."

"Ah! Is that so? Well, it doesn't matter again. I already said that."
