Chapter 31
I lost track of time as I greeted dozens of different animals in the stage one pen, petting them when they allowed as Nathaniel gave a running commentary from somewhere behind me. Each time I focused on a particular animal he would enlighten me with the name of the beast and a small fact about its species.
It was a lot of information to take in and I doubted I would remember it all but still I tried to soak up as much as I could, never once considering that I would be able to return to this beautiful place any time I chose.
