THE BETRAYAL AND ARRANGED MARRIAGE

Amy POV

I stepped out of the vehicle excited to share the news of my pregnancy with Jace my husband. I could not wait to see the excitement on his face. When I entered the living room, there was no sign of Jace any where.

"Jace?" I called his name, but he did not respond. His car was parked outside, which means he was surely inside.

"Jace are you here?" I asked, walking up the stairs and entering the long hallway in his mansion. I paused for a moment paying close attention to the sound that was coming from one of the rooms.

It was a feminine moan and I heard flesh slapping against each other.

My legs moved on its own, towards the direction of the sound. I realized it was coming from the guest bedroom.

I pulled the door opened and gasped, seeing Jace naked in bed with a lady underneath him.

"Jace!" I called and he broke away from the lady. My eyes went over to the lady and I noticed the familiar blonde hair. "Gwen!" My eyes widened when I realized that it was my step sister in bed.

"Don't call my name like that." She responded, laying her back on the wall, as her face is covered in sweats.

"How could you do this to me?" I directed my question to Jace, who appeared not remorseful for his actions.

"Stop whining like a little bitch!" I was taken aback by his comment. "I have kept it up with you for a very long time, I cannot keep up again." He added further.

"You have been useless to him. The only thing you know how to bring to the table for Jace, is taking his money. I am the more responsible one here." Gwen also spoke out, giggling as Jace proceed to give her a perk by the cheeks.

I was depressed seeing the man I gave all my heart to cheat on me. What is more painful is knowing he did it with my step sister, who did not seem to regret her actions.

"I regret the day I ever met you." I said to him and threw the pregnancy letter in his direction before turning around to leave.

Tears spread across my cheeks and I covered my face with my hands, rushing out of the hall at and subsequently finding my way out of the house.

Jace doesn't deserve to be the father of my son! I should have seen the signs when they mattered. Jace is a known playboy in the entertainment industry and despite being a huge music business mogul, he was never a husband substance.

I arrived at my family's house, slamming the door of my car so hard that I feared the glasses were going to break. I stepped inside the house, and find my parents in the living room.

"Amy? You look disoriented." My father mentioned, seeing the tears on my face.

"Jace is cheating on me." I walked towards my my father instead and placed my head on his legs, crying my heart away. "He cheated on me with Gwen." I raised my head to inform them.

"Well, you cannot blame Jace for his actions." I tilted my head to look at my step mother. My lips half open, did I just hear right? Does he know about them?

"Stop looking at me like that. I am saying the truth. Tell me what else you have to offer to Jace? Gwen is a known model and I am sure Jace sees a huge lot of potential in her."

Oh wow! I'm shocked that he supports Gwen instead. Gwen have always been her favorite child always claiming weak and sick just to run away from chores.

But this, taking my husband…

"So when he spreads her leg and fuck the hell out of her, Jace is grooming her to be a star?" I asked, trying to understand her ridiculous comment.

"Look, it doesn't matter. The deed has been done so deal with it." I turned to my father and was not surprised he was supporting Gwen on her actions.

Ever since Gwen came into our lives, I lost a father to them. He was being controlled and influenced by their actions and he does not know.

"Since you and Jace are no more, I heard Marcus Asteroid is looking for a bride and he tried getting Gwen, you will have to take his place." Sylvia mentioned.

Is that it? Willing to sheep me to the highest breeder?

"This is ridiculous!" I turned to look at my father. "Are you going to let this happen?"

"Amy, I understand you are sad. We have no choice than to honour what your step mother has said. You will be getting married to Marcus." I shook my head aggressively, getting away from my father's leg and standing up to look at them. They totally looked like strangers.

"I heard Marcus has gone bankrupt. He won't be an ideal husband for our model daughter." Sylvia had a smirk on her face and I knew through her eyes, that she was setting me up to be in a mess. I'm ideal for leftovers. I wiped the tears from my eyes, hiccupping.

"I am not going to marry Marcus." I declared and finally made my way out of the living room, despite my father calling my name.

When I arrived at my room, I dropped to the bed, crying profusely seeing how my life had turned out to be. I looked up at the ceiling instinctively placing my hand on my belly.

A life is growing inside of me and I would not let it come into such a toxic world.

My thoughts are interrupted by the vibration of my phone on the bed. I ignored the caller, but they became persistent.

"What?" I asked out of anger.

"Miss Amy Lexington, we wish to inform you that your best friend Jenny is currently at the hospital now and being taken for surgery." I rose from the bed, upon hearing the news about my friend.

“What!”

"Goodness! She never told me she had health issues."

"That is not what matters at the moment. We need your assistance and others around her to raise a hundred thousand dollars for her surgery."

A hundred thousand dollar was a huge money that even I did not own nor have in my bank account.

After the call ended, I placed my hands on my chin thinking of a way to raise the money. Jenny was the last source of joy I had left in my life and I would not allow her die because she lacked money.

An idea popped up in my head and I got up from the bed; I knew the decision I was about to take would be detrimental, but I did not care. I'm in a conflicting situations but I can't let my best friend die so I stand stared at myself in the mirror.

What could be worse having a billionaire as a husband? Can I cope with that? Then another thought it's not just about coping, my bestfriend life is on the line and my child too needs a father figure before she's born.

I arrived at the living room to see father and Sylvia all snuggled against each other. I could not deny how much I hated the sight of them together.

I took a deep breath knowing the weight of what I am about to say;

"Fine, I will marry Marcus Asteroid."
