I have to say it still angered me that even though that man was no longer living, the thought of him still caused pain to the thoughts of my mate. I then turned toward her and pulled her closer to me, kissing her in the center of her forehead. I tried to settle her worries about what I had previously said. The last thing I wanted was for her to start asking questions as to his whereabouts.
