Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Her life is a total mess. She feels like a dog obeying her cruel master. Her father's death was being hidden and now, they are controlling her marriage. It feels like this is not her life anymore but her Uncle's life. Lily was thinking profoundly. Isn't it funny? She's still trying to think of how to escape them when she knows she can't. The knife kept dancing in her hand as she was playing with it. Her father taught her a lot. In terms of fighting, standing for herself, but here she is, couldn't even speak for herself.

"Lily, are you done?" it was her mother who invaded her room without knocking. That was when she stopped playing with the knife and kept it in her purse.

"I am," she replied, but didn't glance at her mother. Even though she tries hard, she just can't look at her.

"Lily, please don't make any trouble. That family is a huge family, just obey us and stay silent."

Now, a bitter smirk goes on her lips. She stared at her mother unbelievably with those words she said. She's lecturing her as if she's a troublemaker when they are the one who keep making troubles in her fvckin' life.

"I am sometimes thinking if you are really a mother,"

"This is also for your own sake, Lil—"

"I know what's good for me…but all of you are shutting me up," she said in a sturdy voice before I marched out of the room and left her alone there. They are tying her on her neck so hard. She doesn't even see a future with that man they want me to marry. How can they make her marry him when we don't even know each other?

If only her father is alive, he won't let this happen. Now, she's all alone. And everyone around her is her enemy.

"What's his name?" she asked while they are on their way to her Uncle's house. Lily was acting like an obedient child when she was planning to make some trouble before going there.

"Aemon Cooper," her mother immediately answered. She was glad to hear that her daughter was asking that without knowing that she was about to deceive her. Lily nodded and stayed silent. That name sounds expensive indeed.

"I see," she uttered.

"I'm gonna buy some dessert," her mother said to their driver as they stopped at the cake shop. Lily was ready to run and make her mother anxious. "Stay here, I will be quick."

She didn't respond. "Don't follow me," she said to the driver before she ran so fast as her mother went inside the shop. Lily ran as fast as she could in the middle of the road, not thinking of her dress or even the sweat.

"Miss Lily!" their driver yelled from afar. That made her smirk.

Meanwhile, Aemon was driving and was on his way to the said place.

"I'm on my way," he said on the phone. His grandmother is already near there and she just can't stop calling her grandson.

"Don't be late. This is an important matter, it's your wedding, Aemon."

His eyes shut for a while and sighed. Here she goes again.

"I'm on my way so I won't be la—godd*mn it!" He quickly stepped on the brake before he could even hit the girl wearing black off shoulder dress.

"Aemon? What happened?!" Now, his grandma is anxious thinking that he was attacked by their enemies again. But then, it was different. The girl was not an enemy. Aemon was wearing his cold eyes when the girl knocked on his window as if she was being chased.

"Just wait for me there," he said and ended the call. A tiny smirk drew on his lips when he realized who the girl was.

Lily David, his fiancé. He quickly opened the door at the passenger seat and she did not waste any time to go in.

"First, I'm sorry for that. But can you please just drive and take me with you?" she asked, chasing her breathing. Lily looked behind them to check if her mother was coming towards her. Sweat is all over her face. While Aemon couldn't look away from her beautiful face.

D*mn, she's prettier with this distance. Her beauty is addictive.

"Not a problem," he said and started to drive again. "What's happening?" Aemon asked, pretending not to know her. Well, he was about to deceive her. She's probably trying to run away from their wedding that will happen soon enough. Maybe she was really stubborn that made Aemon become interested in her even more.

"I know you're a stranger, but I'm trying to make some trouble for my careless mother. Fvck, they want me to marry someone without my consent!" she took a deep sighed before she started to open her purse and wipe the sweat on her forehead.

Aemon gulped and bit his lower lip for a moment. Who can resist a woman like her? He was right, she's trying to run away. But then, she doesn't even know that he's on his way to the place of their dinner.

"I'm about to marry someone too," Aemon said while trying to keep his eyes on the way. Lily beside him is distracting.

"Really? You're okay with it?" she asked unbelievably.

Aemon nodded. "Yes, I'm interested in the girl."

Lily has no idea that the man she's with is actually her fiancé. Aemon was trying to refrain himself from smirking.

"Good for you...what's your name?" Aemon was indecisive if he's gonna tell who he is to her. She probably knows his name. But then, they are already near the place.

"Wait," Lily uttered when she saw the house of her Uncle. Her eyes widened as she stared at the man beside her.

"I'm Aemon Cooper," he introduced as he drove inside the land of Lily's uncle. Her lips parted as Aemon introduced himself. It seems like she was playing her own game. The man she's with is actually her fiancé.

"Fvck you," she cursed out loud as soon as Aemon parked the car. He simply smirked before he finally looked at those exquisite eyes of hers.

"Nice to meet you, fiancé."
