The rest of the day went like a blur. I was restless before Alexa showed up with her questions, but after she left, I was more restless than I had ever been.

She seemed very hurt and disappointed and upset, and those were emotions that I hadn’t seen in her eyes before, or maybe it was because I was getting to pay attention to Alexa.

I tried to concentrate at work, but it was very difficult for me, so much so that I had to call my secretary.

“Cancel every other appointment and work I have to do today,” I told her the moment she picked up the call.

I didn’t give her the chance to ask any questions, which I knew that she would want to ask, because it was unusual for me to just cancel every appointment in the middle of the day. I shut my office door and paced around, confused.

I would have called Vector, but being that all this time, I had been denying everything, I couldn’t, so I changed my mind.

I don’t trust the one Mark trust’s. Alexa still loves him and needs to stay away from his rival and she needs to know his past of why he was thrown out of the country and sent back to Paris for being a traitor by screwing over Mark in his company and legacy.
