16: Karmina

There was a throbbing in her skull when she finally came to. The scent of mildew and moss filled her senses as her eyes fluttered open and took in the unfamiliar surroundings. The cold, damp stone floor is layered with straw, with a pile tucked off into the corner with a thin blanket draped over it. A small wooden bucket sat beside the makeshift bed.
