Sarah stirred on the bed and her eyes opened. She could hear soft chirping of the birds, with rays of sunlight penetrating through the curtains. Even children's playful laughter could be heard on the street. She quickly sat up on an unknown bed, trying to figure out where was she and when she did, her eyes instantly moved to the sofa beside her bed. It was Devlin. It was an angry, savage kiss, deeply insulting in its violation of her senses. Her fists beat helplessly against his broad chest as Sarah fought and struggled to escape the iron grip of his arms, the scorching heat of his mouth.
