''What?!” Jordan blinked. “You are worried about that girl?! She almost escaped, Devlin! She nearly reported you to the police! And all you are worrying about is the security of that girl?!''

Instantly Devlin turned his face and glared at him. Oh God, Jordan screamed mentally, the lion was indeed very angry. Throwing up his hands in surrender, he apologised quickly,

''Sorry, sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I just- it just slipped,'' and put his hands over his mouth, trying to ease the tension in the room.

However, Devlin sat upright, the frown gone, replaced by a determination in his eyes.

''Prepare hiding spot number three. Tomorrow I will take her there. It’s closer to the place where I’ve met her and I’m pretty sure there, we can find some information about her and her family.''
