Public Humiliation

Melech brutally pushed open the massive doors of the council room. A loud thump resonated in the room as it collided with the wall, the abrupt sound causing all eyes to turn toward the King.

The High Council had been about to start an assembly but all thoughts of politics were now long forgotten, fear instantly surging inside them at the look of utter rage on Melech's face. They stiffened under Melech's murderous gaze, all of them anxiously waiting for the Adom King to speak out.

"Nahash." Melech loudly growled. His crimson eyes glared at the counsellor and Nahash flinched in response, his whole body tensing up. He saw Azalia right behind the King and so quickly understood what was happening. Still, he refused to submit, the scarred man instead defiantly holding Melech's gaze.

"Yes?"
