Chapter Eleven

Kinsley walked beside Deidra as the two ventured closer to the trees bordering Deidra’s land. The forest was heavy and dense, with hardly any sunlight peeking through the trees. The clearing Diedra had her property in was startlingly bright in comparison to the constant twilight that the surrounding trees lived in. Kinsley knew without a doubt that stepping into those trees was a one-way trip. She’d never be able to find her way out if she so much as stepped inside their shadowed cover.

She stopped short as she felt a heavy presence lingering in the air ahead of them, it was low to the ground, almost coiled around something. It had the unmistakable feeling of death and violence like it was lying in wait for something. Deidra moved to keep going but Kinsley shot her hand out to halt her and crouched, putting her fingers to the soil while Deidra watched Kinsley curiously, her cat still in her arms, who was also watching closely.

Ok, so I'm starting up with my other stories again. hoping to continue them for a bit while I work on the 4th book of my Moon&Sun series. I would really love to hear from any of you on what you think of this story.
