Decided To Stay Away From Scarlett

"Ivy, your body won't gain weight when you are pregnant, as long as you don't overeat. The important thing is that you have enough food for your baby, that's all," Leah advised her daughter.

"Your mother is right, Ivy. Are you more concerned with your body shape and appearance than your own child? Don't tell me if you are going to abort the fetus, I don't want you to do it," said Mr. Lefrancois hopefully.

"But, I don't want to have Ali's child. I hate him, I also

hate the fetus in my womb," Ivy snapped.

"You must not hate your flesh and blood, after all the child is our grandson," added Mrs. Xia.

"Come on, I am sick of all this. I want to go home, Mom," Ivy removed the IV tube from her left hand.

"Ivy, don't go home yet. You are not getting any better," Leah forbade her daughter to come home.

"I want to go home, Mom," Ivy whined, then slowly she got up from the patient bed and suddenly felt dizzy.

Ivy touched her head, her vision blurred, her body collapsed on the bed.

Was Ivy sick because she was pregnant or did she have some other illness?

Ivy!!" Ivy's parents shouted in unison, then they rushed over to their unconscious daughter, while Adrianna came out of the ER to call the doctor.

'Why is Miss Ivy's body so weak since she was pregnant?' Adrianna thought.

At the hotel, Alistair paced back and forth in the 8×8 square meter room. His heart was restless because Ivy hadn't answered Alistair's call earlier, even though he wanted to have a nice talk with his lover after he failed to meet her at house last night.

"Ivy, where have you been?? Why aren't you answering my calls??" Alistair monologued, he looked restless and worried about Ivy.

Meanwhile, in another room Scarlett was imagining herself on the aisle with Alistair.

"Soon Alistair will dump Ivy and then he will turn to me and marry me," Scarlett muttered, smiling to herself," Ivy, we will see who will be Alistair's. You or me?"

Elsewhere, Ivy was lying weakly in bed making Adrianna and her parents even more worried about Ivy's condition.

Doctor suggested that she be treated for a few days until her condition improved.

"Sir, Ma'am, it's best if Miss Ivy is treated for the next few days until her condition improves. Don't let her stress, be too tired from work, and do strenuous activities during pregnancy, alright?" said the doctor looking seriously at Pierre and his wife.

"Alright, Doc," Pierre replied quietly.

"Then I will ask the nurse to prepare a room for Miss Ivy. Please wait a moment," added the doctor hastily.

Pierre and his wife nodded slowly, then the handsome young doctor walked out of the ER.

"Now what, Leah? Should we tell Alistair that Ivy is pregnant with his child?" Ivy's father asked confused.

"It's up to you, Pierre," replied Leah as she looked down at her daughter sadly.

"I am sorry, My Daughter. Even though you hate your fiancé because he betrayed you, he is the father of the baby you are carrying," said Pierre to Ivy.

"If Alistair hadn't been having an affair with his secretary, maybe Ivy would still be fine now. Are you going to keep them married as planned, or are we going to match her with Mr. Gilbert's son who has always loved Ivy?" Leah took a deep breath, she sat on the edge of the bed and gently stroked Ivy's head.

"We will talk about everything after our daughter wakes up," said Pierre.

"Alright," said Leah.

In the morning at Oswald Hospital, doctor and nurses transferred Ivy to the inpatient room on the 1st floor of VIP 1. Meanwhile, Adrianna returned to the office and packed Ivy's things in the CEO's room.

Then, Adrianna did her job while canceling Ivy's scheduled meeting that day with several clients.

While Ivy is in the hospital, Pierre asked Alistair to meet him at his house.

"Hello, Alistair," said Mr. Lefrancois.

"Hello, Uncle. Good Morning," Alistair replied kindly and politely.

"Son ..." Ivy's father took a deep breath, then looked at Leah who was sitting beside him.

Leah nodded slowly indicating that she didn't mind her husband informing the CEO of their daughter's pregnancy.

"Uncle? Are you all right?" asked Alistair confused as to why Mr. Xia suddenly fell silent.

"I am fine, Alistair. Look, there is something important I want to talk to you about."

"By chance Uncle called me, I also wanted to discuss something with Uncle and Aunt. Yesterday afternoon, Ivy break off her relationship with me without giving me a chance to ask why. I am confused." Alistair's tone was heavy and sad.

"I will explain everything to you later. I am waiting for you at home," said Pierre, he took a deep breath.

"All right, Uncle," said Alistair.

Mr. Lefrancois ended his conversation with Alistair, then he said goodbye to go home to have a one-on-one talk with Alistair.

"I am going home first, Leah. You just wait here, accompany Ivy," Weiming ordered.

Leah just nodded, she was reluctant to say a word or two to her husband. Her heart was so sad because Ivy was pregnant with the seed of a man who had betrayed her daughter.

After saying goodbye, Pierre rushed out of the inpatient room, stepped on both feet into the hospital grounds, and hurriedly got into his car.

He quickly drove his vehicle to the house in Riley District. At the hotel, Alistair walked hurriedly out of his room, walked over to Scarlett and said to the woman.

"Scarlett, I am going to Ivy's house. I have business with Mr. Lefrancois."

"Can I come with you to Mrs. Ivy's house, Sir?" asked Scarlett smiling sweetly at Alistair.

"Why did you go there? Just do your job, understand?!" Alistair glared at his secretary.

"I understand, Sir," Scarlett replied quietly, then she lowered her head not daring to look Alistair in the eye

Alistair snorted harshly because Scarlett's attitude was getting more and more annoying by the day. Last night, he had thought about what caused the breakup between Ivy and him.

When he woke up this morning, he suddenly realized that Ivy and her sister often vacationed in Plumb Beach every weekend just to enjoy the beautiful scenery there and also to eat on the beach.

Alistair guessed maybe Ivy knew he was cuddling with Scarlett on the shores of beach . Alistair decided that he would stay away from Scarlett for Ivy's sake.

"From today onwards, don't you ever approach me again! The relationship between us is only a leader and a subordinate! Don't expect me to open my heart to you, even though Ivy has broken up with me!" Alistair's assertion made Scarlett gasp at his words.

Deg! 'Why did Mr. Alistair suddenly say that to me? What happened to him?' Scarlett thought.

"Remember Scarlet, if you still dare to approach me, I will not hesitate to fire you from the company!" threatened Alistair, his eyes wide.

After he told his secretary, Alistair stepped out of the room and hurried down to the lobby. He couldn't wait to meet Mr. Lefrancois to discuss the problems between Ivy and him.
