Wilma stopped abruptly, turning to Uriel with wide eyes. “She’s powerful?!”

Uriel nodded slowly. “Earlier, she used her inner energy. Just a fragment of it—to shield her body from taking the worst of the lashes. And the light in her… it was pure. No darkness, only strength. Stronger than I expected.”

Wilma’s breath hitched. “Then… that means she can expel poisons from her body?”

“Of course,” Uriel replied firmly. “That would be child’s play for her. Mages can’t heal themselves, but they can fortify their bodies. And with the Alpha King’s mark on her, she gains faster recovery. His lycan essence strengthens her, just as it makes him immune to poison.”

Wilma clenched her fists, her face twisting in frustration. “So the poisons won’t work on her at all!” she snapped. She had been so focused on destroying Cain’s daughter that she never considered the possibility that Gavriel’s mark would shield her. Still, the thought of Althea’s hidden magic gnawed at her.

When they finally reached their chamber, Gavriel gently set Althea down on the bed. Then a low growl rumbled from the corner of the room. His eyes snapped toward the sound. There, lounging near the balcony, was the elclipser wolf. Its glowing eyes watched them intently, tail flicking lazily.Gavriel’s jaw tightened. “You again,” he muttered darkly. “Get out before I snap your neck, you little beast.”The wolf didn’t move. It merely tilted its head, almost as if mocking him.Althea stirred at his tone and blinked up, still half-asleep. “Gavriel… don’t be mean to Ash,” she murmured, pushing herself up on one elbow. “It’s not just some beast. I gave it a name.”Gavriel turned his gaze on her. “A name?”“Yes,” she said firmly. “I named him Ash. So call it that instead of ‘little beast.’”The Alpha King crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed. “If you want Ash to stay and watch while I’m with you and devouring you, then be my guest...”Althea’s eyes went wide, her cheeks turning bright red.

Gavriel’s low chuckle vibrated through the air, dark and teasing. Althea raised an eyebrow at him and, with a pout, reiterated, “It’s really big, and what’s funny about that? I really wonder how it even fits inside of me.”She was too adorable when drunk, saying nonsense things like that and acting like a child while her face was so red.“Come here,” he said, his voice deepening. “Let me remind you how perfectly we fit, my little mate.”She released a big sigh but then obeyed and sat on his lap. Gavriel groaned in pleasure the moment he felt her already moist core brush against his thick shaft. He pulled her close and licked her earlobe as he whispered, “Look at you… you’re already wet and eagerly waiting for me to bury myself hilt-deep inside you.”She brushed herself against his hardness, then moaned, “Ahm, feels good.”Gavriel already lost it and grabbed her hips, guiding them to have his length slide inside of her. Althea followed and hummed as she slowly descended and had him ful

“So you’re saying I’m not treating you right, Althea?” Gavriel’s voice dropped, calm yet sharp. His brows collided, eyes narrowing at her as if daring her to say another word.“Oh, she’s just drunk, Your Highness,” Luna Ruth quickly interjected, her voice slightly trembling when Gavriel’s cold stare shifted to them. His face was dark, unreadable.Althea only grinned and lifted her finger toward him. “Look, look! He always wears the same expression! I can’t tell if he’s angry or just… brooding. Always serious. No wonder he looks older than his age.”Gasps filled the air. But Althea wasn’t done. She leaned forward, cupped his face with both hands, and added with a teasing tone, “The Alpha King… so ruthless! You don’t even let me breathe. Let me stay here for a while—I actually feel at ease with nice people around me.”Then she hiccuped, ruining her boldness in an instant.Gavriel stood, jaw tight. “We’re leaving,” he said curtly, gripping her wrist and pulling her up from the chair.“Bu

Gavriel oversaw the rebuilding of Azath Town, making sure his people were provided with everything they needed.“I want the reconstruction finished before the end of the season,” he instructed his men, his tone leaving no room for delay. When the last order was given, he mounted his horse and began the slow ride back toward Reed Manor as the sun dipped below the horizon. He passed through the workers, his sharp gaze taking in every effort and flaw, when Simon’s horse emerged beside his.“Alpha, it’s done,” Simon reported. “News is already spreading, Lady Althea is not Cain’s daughter. We made sure the details supporting it are reaching every corner.”“Good.” Gavriel’s voice was calm, almost too calm. “And this man… Amon. Did we uncover anything about him?”Simon scratched at the back of his head. “Alpha, you only ordered us this morning. Our men are still tracking. It would be easier if we had a sketch. There are too many Amon in the kingdom.”“I told you, he performs magic,” Gavriel

Still A PawnAlthea sat with Melva on a makeshift bench, quietly watching the steady stream of people moving in and out of the manor. Pack members worked tirelessly, handing out relief goods to those who came for help. She had tried several times to stand and lend a hand, but each attempt ended the same. A pack member would immediately rush to her side, guiding her back to a chair with polite firmness. They would offer her fruits, remind her she needed to rest, and insist that she focus on recovering. In the end, Althea gave up. It felt as if the entire Nightwalker Pack had silently agreed that she must not lift a finger.“My Lady,” one of them had told her earlier, “if you wish to move around, you may walk and enjoy the serenity of the manor grounds. And if the Alpha King permits, we will gladly tour you through the whole pack territory.”The words had been repeated to her often enough that they almost sounded rehearsed. With a small sigh, she popped another slice of apple into her m

  • Trapped with the Alpha King   The Unweaving

At West Palace, Royal Estate, Capital City“What’s going on? Why is she like this?” Queen Mother Wilma snapped, staring down at her daughter Riela, who was now unconscious on her bed. She had been fine yesterday, and now it was nearly nighttime, and she still hadn’t woken up since morning. They tried waking her up but she remained unconscious. “Maybe it’s a side effect from that traitor’s daughter,” Ava suggested, frowning.Wilma’s face darkened just at the mention about Cain’s daughter. Her blood was boiling but she chose not to comment and instead turned to Nilda.“Tell me what’s wrong with my child,” Wilma demanded of Nilda, Riela’s personal healer.Nilda bowed her head. “I don’t know, Your Highness. She was well yesterday, then she said she felt tired and went to sleep. She complained that something felt heavy in her body.”“I checked her.” Nilda chose her words carefully. “Her vitals are normal, Your Highness. But there are some remnants on her skin I can’t explain.”“I’m certa
