26. I LOVE HIM TOO

Emery sat on the couch and observed as Benhail's staff members slogged into the living room. They were elegantly dressed; the men in expensive suits and the women donned beautiful dinner dresses. She was conclusive that Agnes wasn't lying when she told her Benhail's workers were sophisticated.

She wasn't the type to be shy in a gathering like this but right now, her palms were sweaty as her eyes surveyed them one after the other, from the hair on their heads to the shoes on their feet. Benhail was yet to come out of the room, and she knew she had to welcome them.

She straightened out of the couch and walked closer to where they all stood, engrossed in the conversations they were having. She started from the ones who were closer to her, "Hello, I am Emery, welcome here." She didn't want to introduce herself as Benhail's woman as he had told her to do, she wanted him to do that himself. It felt right and more real when he did.

She shook hands with them and welcomed them into the house.
