Twice Rejected: The billionaire Alpha rejected mate

Chapter 1

I almost banged my head against my sterling wheel for the 100th time as I glanced at my watch.

It was 8:57 am and my interview with Alexandro Hale was just 30 minutes away.

Madam Bennie would kill me if she found out that I lost this interview with the one man that was supposed to put our company on the spot light.

My phone vibrated beside me and seeing the caller to be Ava, I quickly stopped and parked my car at the end of the road and stepped out.

“ Where are you?” I said loudly enough for anyone who was passing by to hear my voice.

I heard a couch at the other end before she spoke. “ You have to make this interview without me Aria, I’m running a high fever” Ava says

“Liar” I said almost immediately as my heart pounded hard against my chest.

I know you’re mad at me for leaving you behind but trust me Aria, I know that you can do this but please don’t tell our boss.

The line cuts before I can ever say anything and now I am standing right in front of the car almost cussing at my friend who wasn’t here.

Ava was lying, I knew that, it was either she didn’t want to or she was spending the day with her boyfriend.

Either way I got back into my car and started it. I had just 30 mins before my interview and yet I was a few miles away from his company.

Two years ago, I didn’t have this life, I lived with my family at our pack house but when I turned 16 I met my mate who died after a short illness before my 17th birthday, the moon goddess gave me a second chances mate, the Alpha son Ryder but yet again fate played a cruel joke on me. He impregnated my sister and rejected me on the night of our mating ceremony and yes my family was on it and even tried to play the mad card on me when I reacted.

With a broken heart I moved away to a city where humans dominated, leaving the life that I had always known behind and becoming a nobody with a different identity in a new world and trust me after two years, I had adjusted just fine and now I was going to interview the city most richest and eligible bachelor Alexadro, although I was supposed to do this with my best friend Ava would rather spend the day riding Tom’s dick

The hale Enterprise was surely one for the books. It was just as I had imagined it to be, big, glamorous and totally out of mind.

I flashed my card at the security and they let me in.

A woman dressed in a plain straight gown to match her heavily pointed heels approached me. “Are you miss Aria from Jenna and co publishing?

“ That’s me,” I say calmly as I stand up.

“Come with me,” she said as she walked away.

I followed closely behind my heels hitting the floor as we walked.

By the time the elevator stopped and we stepped out, I was standing in the most outstanding office that I had ever seen, glass walls that showed the city, a huge table in the middle, curtains and flowers to decorate.

Mr Hale would join you soon, I think for the meantime why don’t you make yourself comfortable.

“Thank you” I whispered calmly to the girl as she walked out of the office.

I sat at the chair given to me with my legs crossed together as I wrapped my legs tighter and kept tapping the floor each time checking for a message from Ava and totally ignoring any messages from my boss and company.

After 30 minutes of waiting, I could hear the elevator door open but I didn’t turn but yet I felt it, there was a shift in the air, I could feel the presence of the man, firstly it was his scent that hit me and then the coldness, the power, I could literally feel it radiating from him.

“Miss Aria”

His voice was calm, cold and controlled and far better than the ones I heard on tv.

I had spent all night going through all his interviews, his demeanor and how to make this whole thing work but hearing his voice alone rendered me helpless.

I looked up, picking up the jotter from my bags but instead my pen fell down making a stupid sound.

“Fuck” I cursed deeply under my breath as I bent to pick it up by the time I raised my head up his gaze was already on me.

Mr Hale stood before me, his hands perfectly tucked into his neatly tailored, his eyes were golden brown, his hair perfectly styled to the side, a little tattoo at the right side of his neck and his eyes held this certain coldness that made me almost wish I had disappeared.

“Sorry mr hale, I say more steadier shall we begin”

He doesn't respond but instead he walks calmly to the chair in front of me and sits on it.

I looked right back at him and he just nodded at me urging me to start the interview.

I swallowed nothing as I picked out all the questions I had prepared for him.

“I would like to start by asking about your family”

His gaze tightened even more and now I can tell he isn’t pleased with my question.

Family? He says calmly as he looks at me.

I nod with my lips shut as our eyes ran into the other, right under this desk, I could feel my legs burning.

“ I’m sure you know everything about my family miss Aria”

My lips slowly curled into a smile, “Not everyone knows about your family Mr Hale like me, I know nothing about you and that’s the reason this interview was held, at least get to know you and you can tell us from your perceptiveness. Considering the fact that you run a tight private family affair.

Silence follows immediately.

He didn't break his eye contact with me, he stared at me deeply and I really wished I could tell what was going through his mind in that moment.

“You’re bold,” he says rather calmly.

“You agreed to this interview” I said almost immediately. Even though I was trying to be careful with my words with this man I was totally losing my patience with him.

Something changed in his eyes, there was this sudden look he gave me but in a second it was gone.

The interview went on for about an hour with us both pushing ourselves to the edge, I could tell he hated the way I questioned him.

He doesn't reply nor does he take my stretched hands but instead he walks past me in a rather cold manner.

The beat of my heart increased in an instant. I didn’t know what he thought of me or if he was going to reply. I knew I would be fired if I didn't come back with a good result.

By the time I walked out of the company and to my car my chest was still in my head, I took a slow turn back to the place I had just left and when I looked towards his office, he stood just by the edge of the office glass looking downwards, he was watching me and even when our eyes met, he didn't look away, his gaze was calm, cold and intent, it was more like a predator looking watching its prey.
