Chapter 4: Mate
He went to me, so I stepped back. I continued walking until I bumped into the tree. It smelled every part of my body and even licked my face. It was weird but it started wagging its tail. While I realized that the smell a while ago came from this wolf. Using its paw it scratched my face like it was initiating play. I wasn't feeling comfortable with it. My heartbeat wasn't helping to make me calm down. It was beating clumsily, so I stepped to the left to escape from the wolf. It did a sad sound and then it sat down. I took another step away and it drop its head to the ground looking up at me. I still took another step, the time when I felt like there was a weird string pulling me towards it. I turned around to run but I was suddenly stricken by a lightning-like shot. Mate, 'Mate,' a man's voice resounded inside my head. He stood up and walked toward me. He snuggle in my neck and even licked my face again. Was he a werewolf too? I thought he was only a wolf. It was totally weird when I started wagging my tail too. He suddenly ran but eventually stopped, his head turned to me when he noticed I was not following him. He made cute eyes and a gentle sound which made him look adorable. I took some slow steps toward him and I saw his ears twitched in delight. He started running again and I was following him. The ran was mild until it went faster. His swift move was hard for me to cope with. But I did my best to follow in his footsteps. Until I lost him, I continued walking and followed his scent. I saw him standing on the edge of a cliff, in a human form. He only had pants on, giving me the full view of his masculine broad shoulder. "Come closer," I heard him speak, damn his voice. His harmonious low and deep voice made my spine freeze. My hesitancy hadn't stopped me from walking closer. I stand next to him in my wolf form. I know he was checking every inch of my fur. "You're beautiful, but why do you have to have white fur." His whispers were tickling my ears but what did he mean? I felt him touch my head and started caressing it. I unconsciously closed my eyes and let out a low contented growl. "A rouge," he said but he sounded disappointed. I looked up to him and snuggle on his leg. Why did he sound disappointed? Then I saw his reddish lips stretched into a smile and he sat down. His trimmed mustache was absolutely attractive, his sharp jaw looked masculine to me. While his pointed nose is very well complimented by his intense black eyes. When his eyes were on me, I felt like he could see my soul. And his wavy hair touched his shoulder. A beautiful creature I have ever seen in my life. I sat on his lap and he wrapped his arms around me as we watched the full moon above. The place had the perfect view of it. "Look at the moon goddess, she bonded us." And I could feel his breath on my fur. I looked at the moon, her perfect sphere shape, and her glow. "Let me know your name," he demanded. 'Olive,' I only spoke in my head. I thought he could read my head. "Olive why do you have white fur and blue eyes?" His voice was laced with hate. I could feel his emotion. 'I don't know,' my emotions went down hearing his disappointment. Didn't he like my fur? Did it look bad? 'Why? What's the matter?' I asked him and turned to him. I only saw him shake his head and disregarded the conversation. "Call me, Dion." He instead said. I knew something was wrong yet he refused to tell me. He held my paw and massage it, while his face rested on my face too. "I have been searching for you," his weak voice made my heart sad. "Don't be sad. Everything is fine. We are summoned to get back in our pack. I will be needing to go." And that supposed to make me feel good? My mood went lower than it did before he said that. I stood up and walk away from him. I was still in my wolf form. He faced me so I sat down. "Meet me here tomorrow night," he said which made my heart jump in glee. I eagerly wagged my tail as I watched him stand and transformed into wolf form. 'Will I see your face tomorrow?' 'Of course,' I instantly answered. Then he hurriedly ran into the woods, I was a bit disappointed that he left that quick. While walking back home I couldn't forget his eyes, it was dark black then they turned to gold when he was in his wolf form, it was just magnificent. But then I saw Tasio, he was out with a bow and a bundle of arrows on his back, he wore his cape made with wolf fur, and I heard its necklace made of wolf teeth banging to each there. I forgot that he would usually out hunting from midnight until morning. I carefully stepped away and hid. His sense was more incredible sharp than mine for hunting over decades. He was the one who taught me how to kill any different animal in the forest. My fright rose when he stopped for a second and turn in my direction, I didn't move even an inch cause at that distance he can easily sense movement, he stayed looking in my direction for a few seconds before deciding to head-on. I waited for him to walk father before I let my breath go. Tasio was a great hunter, I have watched him fight growing up. Hunters from the city couldn't beat him, cause he even hunt hunters he hate. I saw him play well when it comes to hunting, no one could ever go out from his territory once they get in, until he has gotten age. I could feel his frustration now and then since his knees started aching and protesting. I immediately head back to the cabin, he didn't usually hunt without me, for I am so sure that he knocked on my door or even broke in. He'd be mad at me knowing that I went out without him. I jumped back into my room through my window and found my door open, a sign that Tasio knew I was out. I could already feel the dawn cool breeze of the wind. Several hours away for the morning. I transformed into my human form and got my cape. I grabbed my bow and- "Aww!" I dropped the bow and saw my hand burned hand. The silver burned my hand. The whole bow was laced with silver? I didn't realize this before, it was black so I thought only the two ends of it had silver laced. I went to my drawer and got my gloves, I hope this would work, this should. I held my bow again and gladly It didn't burn my hand. Thank goodness! I grabbed my arrows two and ran to where he was headed. I seemed slower, or I was used to running at werewolf speed so it seemed slow. "Where were you?" I almost stumbled when I heard him ask, I turned to search where he was, and I saw him up on the tree.Chapter 5: The Werewolf"I was out for some air, what are you doing up there, get down." He was not young enough for tree climbing, if he'd ever fall he'd break all his bones. "I am not weak as you think," he murmured but I could see his hands shaking while climbing down the tree. "To the north, I saw one heading north." He whispered and I nodded, He'd been suspecting that there were residing there, we've been trying to find it over years. I was walking fast when he suddenly stopped, the turned to me and his eyes went to my hands. His eyes were on my gloves, I restrained myself not to shake or move and act as if, I was confused and innocent."You wear gloves," he concluded. His suspicious look burned my neck."I thought it was cool," what a lame excuse. When did I start losing my common sense? "Let's go, we're wasting time," I said in an attempt of saving mess. He did head-on and led the way. I was only following his step. Then we got into someplace, it was way darker than
Chapter 6: The Lost WolfHe gravely spoke those words while eyeing me like I betrayed him. I shook my head, it wasn't true. I didn't mean to, I didn't even know I was...I am a werewolf. "No no no, I am not your enemy here, I am the Olive that you raised, I can forget being a werewolf and be a hunter still. I can protect you." I didn't know what I am saying, I was too desperate to ease his anger. I couldn't lose him. His anger was scaring me, I didn't want him to be mad at me."A werewolf is a werewolf, end of the story." And he drew his last arrow, it was aiming at me. All I did was to look at him in his eyes, hoping that he might change his mind. I raise both of my hands as a sign of surrender. His arrow has no match how much pain it cost me while looking at his eyes full of determination to kill me."Fight!" he shouted at me."You are my father, I can not harm you.""I. DO. NOT. HAVE. A. CHILD. ESPECIALLY. A. WEREWOLF!" The emphasis broke my heart, even more, I lost it,
Chapter 7: RejectionI am here, standing at exactly where I stood the first time and the last time we met. And hoping to meet him again. On the edge of this cliff and the beauty in front of it. The green forest and the blue sky met in the middle. Birds were passing by and clouds were calmly moving unnoticeable. A scorching day has ended, and the sky started turning orange. A sign that night was approaching. I couldn't wait anymore but at the same time was nervous. I was afraid of what would be his reaction to seeing me. I know that he would be mad but would he forgive me? I could not sit still knowing that he might kill me but he is my mate. He might give me chance to prove my loyalty. I hope he would still accept me.I immediately stood when I heard some calm footsteps. I waited for him to show up and he did in his wolf form. He was so gorgeous but then he angrily ran to me and jump. As his paw hit my shoulder I fell and my head was an inch from the edge. He was about to bite
Chapter 8: Lovely Flowers I was watering my flower in my garden, I felt good seeing them grow and bloom. This at least eases the grief in my heart. I didn't know how I survived it, I just woke up, feeling pain in every inch of my body. I was in my wolf form, it was my weakest point but I managed to sit up and licked at my wounds. After a few days, my bones had gone better, no food and water. I only stayed there down the cliff. After gaining my strength back, I started hunting for food and never transformed into my human form. I eat the way wolves eat and live as a wolf for a few days. My heart was full of grief and I hard move or survive a day. But one morning, I decided to shift into my human form and create a home. Away from his pack and Tasio's house. I never dare to enter their territory and stayed in my safe zone. I smelled the fresh scent of flowers around me. Since that day when I found out that I am a werewolf, my sense of smell has heightened so has my sense of hear
Chapter 9: Who's a witch?"What are you talking about?" I asked her but she instead snatched my wrist and looked at my birthmark. "Zillia," she whispered and I snatched my wrist away from her. But the sun had gone down, I started running away from the city. I needed to find a spot where I could safely howl before the time of howling which was in the middle of the night. "Wait!" she was running after me so I ran faster and when I looked back I couldn't see her anymore so I shifted into my wolf. I could feel her glee as her paw hit the ground. Until I saw a perfect spot where I could have the perfect view of the full moon. I knew it was safe in the place, I had made sure to avoid the territories of packs around. Time flies real fast, but the feeling and the memory were still clear in me. The full moon ruined my peace and took everything for me. On my first ever shift and learned that I have a wolf in me and the next day I lost everything I have. "Awooooo!" It was not onl
Chapter 10: A Night With Grief "That I couldn't answer," she said. But the pain in her eyes couldn't keep me calm."I was young and wild back then and traveled alone while my older sister your mother wants to live in peace. All she did was take care of her flowers and repeat her routine every day. I found it boring so I decided to leave her." She kept combing my hair while reminiscing those moments."This is her house. I missed her so I went home and found this house empty.""She's lost? She's probably with my father he a werewolf, you said it is forbidden to have a relationship with werewolves, they are maybe hiding." I exclaimed and I little hope to build into my heart. I badly want to meet them."I don't think so." And my tiny hope crashed."Why?""Why would you be alone now if they are just hiding? Why would you grow up with a hunter if nothing happened? I don't want to imply a thing and hurt you but I must not give you false hope.""What do you mean?""I foun
Chapter 11: Meeting Him Again"I know, don't mention it," and she flashed a fake smile. But eventually, we broke into laughter and even had a high five. "I feel so fake, yuck," then she acted vomiting which made me laugh harder. "Are you alright?" she asked and my laughter instantly subsided. "I hope," I couldn't hide my pain instead of flashing a fake smile I looked down. She walked toward me and wrapped her arms around my body. "You have me now, all those wounds will heal." She whispered and kiss me on my cheek. "You are so beautiful," and she pinches my face. "Thank you," I didn't think it was comforting but I think she mean it."Now get ready cause we'll be performing the ritual, we need to cut the connection between you and your mate and also waken your craft." It tightened my heart, I didn't know what should I do. He already chose to be with another she-wolf, why do I feel like I am betraying him. "Okay," I answered and went to my room. I sat on my chair acros
Chapter 12: The Witches "I just want to die," I emphasized."No one will die!" she stepped back when she shouted. "Look at me, look straight." She held my face and made me look at her."We are witches, and our family was not just witches. We are royally blooded of the witches ministry before your grandparents died, we the rule the ministry of witches, and backing down was never in our vocabulary. There is no reason to seek death.""Where are my parents?" but she couldn't answer. "Dead," and I saw her blink and turned into teary."Where is my mate?" she only took a huge gulp and put my loose strands of hair at the back of my ears. "Mated to another she-wolf and worse...he wants me to die.""How about me? Am I not a family to you or important to you?" she held both of my palms and seek hesitation in my eyes."What I am?" she blinked and a tear fell in her eyes but I was already filled with numbness. "A half-witch and a half-wolf. Where do I belong? To none. Why I am here
